Came to Seattle for my wifes birthday. My son fly in from Nebraska. We wanted fresh seafood. Made reservations for lunch (3pm), but didn't need then. First sign, the place was fairly empty. We were disappointed at the small lunch menu.

My husband and I visited this place on one of our first dates, and the food was just terrible. His black bean soup looked slightly like vomit, and the spring rolls were not tasty at all. Although we were alcohol free that night, it did look like they had a great wine list.

I'm obsessed with Tom Douglas' restaurants. We frequent Lola's and Dahlia Lounge quite often! Considering how brilliant his other restaurants are I was anxious to try his Seafood restaurant. For my husband's birthday I made reservations

A nice place for a meal with good food and friends. Etta's is comfortable, with an upscale menu of interesting items. It is especially fun for the adults in the family to go, especially after a day of shopping downtown and on the waterfront. Not sure I would take the smaller children here. Parking close can be an issue.

Although the atmosphere seemed a little dated the service and food at Etta's was quite good. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helped guide us through a satisfying meal. The crab cocktail was so fresh and not overpowered with it's sauce, the pasta with squash and pepitas was cooked perfectly and tasted just as good reheated for lunch the next day. We didn't have room for the triple coconut cream pie, but we've had it before and it's delicious.

We went here one friday afternoon with friends. we all loved our dishes. good option for vegetarians too. If you are tired of tasting same dishes over and over, you will find new dishes here. We would definitely go again!

Etta's is run-down at the heels like an old slipper. It's relies on location at the foot of Pike Market. It cooks seafood at a mediocre level and serves a limited seafood menu. The Crab Cakes are the one exception and they are terrific.

Pros: Seafood, great place to take out of towners to impress.
Cons: Don't think I'd take little kids as it's kind of pricey for someone that really would rather have McNuggets.
Being relatively new to Seattle I now know why the fish mongers in the Pike Place Market recommend Etta's so highly. We had the evening we wanted to have; attentive yet not hovering service, knowledgeable cocktail and wine
