The first tee is a Par 5. Imagine that challenge; especially in light of the fact they don't have a driving range. There are two practice putting greens, and you are allowed to even chip. This course is well maintained, wide fairways, fast greens (and small on some holes), and hilly on the back 9. The pro shop needs a make-over in the worst way; and the staff needs to be friendlier. Also, this golf course has many car break-ins, so don't leave your valuables behind.

Pros: Challenging, Long course
Cons: Pro Shop; Customer Service; Bathrooms, Lounge
West Seattle is the best public golf course in Seattle by a landslide. Some of the holes on the back nine rival those on private courses. Sometimes a bit crowded.
4the course does not have a driving range, and the l practice putting green is small.

Pros: great views, convenient location, good condition
Cons: staff sucks, wet, parking can be bad
Everyone knows West seattle even challenges the best amateurs. Great walk for those who enjoy the fitness/and for those less hearty, get a cart. Second cut is deep in many places/keep it in the short grass and your score will will stroke your ego. Avoid in winter unless 3-4 days of non-rain.

A very long, tough course with wonderful views, wildlife and nature.

Greens are well maintained... matters only if you can stay out of the trees! Great course, good service.

Pros: Upkeep, location
Cons: cost, volume of players
This was the first full "official" course I ever played, or rather it played me...The back nine was sheer torture but i managed to get through it without embarrasing myself or my partner. The 19th hole was by far my best - guess I've just had more practice there!

Pros: close to home, parking great, terrific pro shop
Cons: crowded, food not very yummy, greens O.K.
