We loved the resturant but it was a bit pricey for the portion size plus they don't have an elaborate menu.

Pros: great food

Cons: Pricey and small portions

We had a reservation, but that didn't stop us from waiting way too long for our table in the overcrowded, undersized lobby. The wait continued for basic water and drinks; how hard is it to quickly fill a glass?!\r

I really loving eating here. The flavors you get here are so unique compared to other cuisine that is more common. The restaurant is intimate, so you can have good conversations or a romantic dinner. All the food I've had here is good. But, I love the kabobs, the rosewater pudding and my favorite--the eggplant dish.

There is every reason to be ambitious and dabble in this unfamiliar cuisine. The intimate setting and low lighting make this place feel special. The chatty and attentive owner make you feel like an honored guest. The food makes you glad

My group (two couples) ordered the combination kabob (for $42), which was described as "enough for 2". We received 6 small cubes of meat -- three chicken and three beef. All of us were shocked as to how small the portions were. We asked

Afghan is one of my favorite foods and Kabul serves some of the most delicious Afghan cuisine I've ever had. It's a little pricey but it's well worth it. The food is authentic, fresh and very filling. It's not a place I'd consider child friendly although I took my children there with no problem.

Kabul is my first Afghan dining experience, and I must say it was a good one. Kabul is a small restaurant with a GREAT atmosphere, with live music and a large assortment of beer. The food was also very intriguing, similar to Indian cuisine. The worst part of the restaurant was the menus, which were a little bit confusing. Price range is around $15 - $20.

Kabul is my favorite restaurant in Seattle. I recommend it to people all the time. It was was one of the few restaurants I took my dad to when he visited. It is expensive, but not prohibitively so for an occasional treat. Expect to spend 20-25 per person. You should probably bring a few people with you so you can try some various dishes. I've had pretty much everything and it's all great. The rice is simply perfect and comes with every meal. They put raisins in it, which sounds absurd, but it is one of the best features of the meal. All of the meat is tender and the vegetables are a treat. Every single bite is full of unique and wonderful spices and flavors. Just go.

I never gave Afghanistan food much thought until I tried Kabul Afghan. I was pleasantly surprised. The good is wonderful and actually healthy. The salads are made with a very light dressing. It is wonderful. And the chicken just lightly spiced and grilled. Too bad there were not more restaurants around Seattle like this.

One of my favorite restaurants! It's rare to find a restaurant with Afghan cooking, and rare to find ANY restaurant with food this good. I especially like the use of mint, dill and yogurt flavors in the cooking. The "dogh" yogurt drinks are good - sort of like a salty lassi. The eggplant entree is also excellent - cooked with yogurt and tomato paste. The prices are moderately high, but considering the quality and flavor it's well worth it if you can afford it. The atmosphere is nice here, too, with live sitar playing some evenings. I've never taken a friend here who wasn't pleasantly surprised by this place!
