Please stay away from Sleep Country! Macy's homestore in Bellevue is the place to go and I unfortunately bought my mattress from here which I am stuck with.

They lied to me. Instead of getting into a long story of the number of lies, I will tell you that the salesman sold me a mattress as "Firm", but it was plush. I was very upfront about my 3 back surgeries and back issues. Anyway.... these sales people DO NOT know what they are selling you.. nor do they care. My one exchange was ruined because of this jerk and I was sold another bed that didn't work.

HOWEVER, Macy's was willing to work with me and offered to let me exchange any bed that didn't work. I was pleased but because Sleep Country was across the street, I drove over there and looked at their inventory as well. This guy slashed the price of a the mattress he called "firm" for bad backs, told me his return policy was something it WASN'T. I got suckered in and believed him. And who woudn't have? Do people really lie like this??

There is a difference between Macy's and Sleep Country. My girlfriend in NYC will only use Macy's or Bloomingdale's. They have an excellent return policy --- and with back issues, their management bends over backwards to accomodate her needs. She returned a mattress after one year.... and Macy's exchanged it!!!

I understand companies have policies, but when you have salespeople that lie to you about their return policy in order to get you to buy from them on the spot IS UNACCEPTABLE. And further, Sleep Country's sales people do not understand the density of the mattress they are selling you, thus, saying whatever they need to sell you the mattress.

Sleep Country does not see the negligence of having transactions occur in such a manner and it's disheartening. I am out a few thousand dollars. It's not funny. THis is serious. I am sick to my stomach off the low moral alone.

This place is not worth your time. Purchase from a company that will make you first, but more importantly that hires fully trained employees. I don't mind if someone is new... but they need to say when they don't know something and get someone who does.

It's strange here.... management and corporate for the most part did not even allow me to communicate my issue. I've dealt with one closed door after another. People were defensive and combative.... i feel like I've been in the twilight zone!

I will thank Mike, as he was the only one that behaved as though Sleep Country had a customer service division but his hands are tied.

Sleep Country doesn't call back. But trust me when I say that the company policy does not want to take care of you.

Sleep Country is the WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DELT WITH!!! The day we decided to finally pick a new bed, we went into the Federal WAy Enchanted parkway store. After some searching we decided on the Simmons Black eddition mattress - at a heft cost of nearly $3500. At this point - of course the salesman Dirk had been quite helpful. We did tell him we wanted to think about it for a night and would call him the next day - Being told- no problem, we can take care of everything over the phone we went home.

The next day I called to order the matress only to be told - I can't pay for it with my credit card over the phone????? HUH? I was told that it would have to be COD and that the person who's name is on the credit card would need to be present - which would not be possible as we both work and had a friend waiting for the bed. After alot of arguing, we got this worked out only to be told - WELL OK, we actually CAN bill you over the phone. 2 days later, the bed arrives only for me to find that they delivered a floor model - NOT the new bed we ordered. After some more yelling and getting angry they agreed to re-deliver the next day - what did I get? Another floor model. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Again, more yelling, fighting and a whole day lost. They finally get the non-floor model. THANK YOU. After sleeping on the bed for 2 weeks, it was obvious it was too firm - so we decided to use the comfort exchange they so proudly offer. We picked out a Spring Air bed at the same federal way store - upon delivery however, it is a different bed. Same label-different bed. Spring air directly tells me over the phone that the model we tried out in the store is the PREVIOUS years model and that the new model is entirely different. GREAT! SO - sleep country tells me - pick another bed. Which we did - and now can not get a call to fix the problem from ANYONE. We spent over $3500 to have the WRONG MATTRESS and no one to fix it. We are ending up in a legal battle AVOID THEM!

Pros: If you are bored, this process will tie up WEEKS of your time!

Cons: Horrible to deal with - no customer service, rude staff, selection is outdated in store

I went to Sleep Country (Roosevelt) to buy a new mattress. I was helped by a salesperson almost immediately and after some bargaining, I decided on a twin size pillow top for about $375. When I came back to the store I told the man who came to greet me that I was there to pick up the bed. His smile immediately disappeared. He said "didn't you bring someone else with you?" and then glared at me. The salesman grumbled a bit under his breath and then said to pull my car into the loading area. I did so, and returned to the store. He was now selling to a woman and told me to wait. After about 10 minutes he rushed over to me, grabbed the mattress and instructed me to follow him through the store's back exit to the loading dock. He got to the edge of the dock, DROPPED my mattress down about 5 feet off the dock and said "you take it from here." "What?" I said, "are you kidding? I can't carry that by myself and drag it 20 ft to my pickup and then get it in the bed by myself." "Sure you can" he said. And just like that he left me there with my 8 year old son and a HEAVY mattress. Then a passerby saw me standing there (in shock) and I asked him to help me load the mattress into my vehicle.

This wasn't the worst part though. Sometimes a company has a bad apple, and so I emailed customer service and let them know what had happened and that I was upset about the rude and inadequate customer (dis)service. No response, so I emailed again and they said that they had let the regional manager know and that he/she would contact me. Still no response. I emailed again and said that no one had contacted me (it had been about a month). Finally someone called and left a message, but neglected to give a call back number, name, or let alone an acknowledgement of that salesperson's negligent behavior. I gave up and I will NEVER shop at sleep country again. NEVER!

Pros: Lots of locations

Cons: No customer service after you pay.

I paid 50-dollars for their "convenient" delivery service and was extremely dissapointed. The delivery people forgot the parts for the bed and did not set it up at the scheduled time. They said they wouldn't be able to come back at a time that was convenient for me. Basically, I had to wait two weeks to have something to sleep on. The manager was really unhelpful. It took about an hour of negotiations to get a refund for the crumby delivery service. What a bad experience.

Pros: Old mattress removal

Cons: Bad customer service

I bought a bed for my 15 yr old son, and it has a 10 year warrenty on it. After 2 years of use it was leaning so much to one side that you would roll into the wall. Very noticable and he woke up with a very stiff neck. I called the Burlington Wa sleep country where I purchased it. The manager (so he says) was very rude he even told me he never had the time to explain the policy due to customers that he was helping. Like I was not important or a customer.

I had a horrible experience buying a bed from Sleep Country. They delivered the wrong mattress twice, the sales guy agreed on a price and then tried to charge me more. Bad customer service!
