Nathan S: Centerline is sorry for the time delay and bad feelings here. When the work went long, we had a person stay late so you would have the same evening needed. To clarify, the labor bill came to $80 total; $60 for surface as quoted and $20 to clean. We discussed a cleaning charge depending the cleaning time before surface work could be done. Calls are made for extra work, but this was talked about at the time head was dropped off. We will make sure to clarify what we noted above to avoid this in the future.

I had these guys surface a head. I didn't request anything other than that and I needed it by the next day at 4 they said that would be fine. I was told $60 to get it surfaced. when I came to pick it up they charged me an additional $80 for shop labor and it wasn't ready until after 6. The last time I had a pair of heads rebuilt (about a year and a half ago) it cost me $240 for the set and they were ready when I was told they'd be ready, I only had one head surfaced and they wasted an additional two hours of my day along with charging me an extra $80 without bothering to call and ask if I wanted some extra work done and I'm not sure what they actually did, no valve grinding, no seats, no springs. That was my grocery money for the month, I'm on a tight budget and if they'd asked I'd have said no. I will not be a returning customer.

I purchased a battery here and asked the salesman if they installed them. He told me "no". On my way out to my car I saw a NAPA employee installing a battery for the lady that had just been ahead of me in line. What's up with that?!?

I have been buying parts from Centerline from the time I started buying parts for my cars. The same people are still working there even after 10 years they know what they are talking about.

CenterLine has one of the best machine shops in the Puyallup/Sumner area. I have had Cyl heads from a Dodge Lancer, Toyota Celica, and Volkswagon done by them. CenterLine stands behind their work, and completes the job quickly. I always have my machine work done at CenterLine!

PROS: Great service, and they stay open late!
CONS:

Whenever I need a part for one of my cars, I always call Centerline first. They consistently have the lowest prices around. The staff is really nice and actually takes the time to look and see if they can order what you want if they don't have it in the store. Plus, their turn around time is REALLY fast, which is nice cause then you won't be stuck without a car if you don't have your part quickly enough. Sometimes it's hard to find foreign parts, so if you have a domestic car, don't worry, but it may be a bit harder if your car isn't.
