.

YEOOOWWW they raised the price to a smoking $80 per month. I got a 3 month for $100, but after that sadly I'll have to search for another place. The hike probably paid for knocking out a wall to make the main room look more pretty, and the air conditioner repair bill (it was fixed recently and now works) .

Good selection of machines and cardio. No martial arts or boxing. Would be good for primary caregivers as this has daycare.

First and lasts months, and then $40 per month if you lock in for year. Month to month is $50.
-
Air Quality="4/5" (location based)
This place is close to the busy and smoggy arterial that goes through lauralhurst, but is better than the "anytime fitness" which is next 99. Also better than anything in the U district proper as that is one big cancer pollution zone.

Price="0/5"
The one thing that could dissolve the deal is the price.

$50 a month is almost twice the cost as the next closest gym.

Would prefer not to pay subsidies for an aerobics class for lazy can't-motivate-themselves people, I just need the equipment.

All in all the very best feature is that while breathing hard, you will suck in a slightly, and I mean slightly, less amount of carcinogens than other U district gyms.

Pros: not next freeway, classes, daycare

Cons: price, aerobics class forced subsidies

I worked out at Pro-Robics for 2 years and loved it. They had a special student rate. The gym is open long hours, and parking in their adjacent lot is almost always available. You can easily walk there via the Burke-Gilman trail if you live near it.

Their group exercise classes are excellent. Kari Anderson has several fitness videos out, and her classes are always packed. I never had a bad instructor there.

The facilities are very nice and clean, and if you go at off-peak hours, not very busy at all. The staff is friendly and they didn't try to "sell" the memberships at all.
