Railroad fanatics, stop here, at the Mid Continent Railway Museum. This place is fun for all ages of railroad-buffs. It's a mostly outdoors museum (you have to walk outside from building to building and train to train), so it's only open during the warm weather, but it's a great place for the whole family. You'll learn a lot about the history of the railroad in a variety of historical set-ups. You can even take a ride on a restored train! Rates are pretty reasonable and worth every penny. There are special train rides throughout the year too, such as holiday themed ones. You can even ride with Santa in the winter!
