Henry's Art Gallery is located inside the University of Washington at the intersection of I-5 and I-520. If you are a student of University of Washington, you can get into the Gallery for free, otherwise its $8 for adults for the entrance fee. Unlike the Seattle art mesume, this gallery offers mostly contemporary arts which is fun to see. I always admired the creativeness of these talented artists.

Henry Art Gallery is a place you wont want to miss as a UW student. I studied Southeast Asian Studies, and the exhibits the museum put on with a focus on Southeast Asia were incredible. I cant tell you how unique they were. When I was a student there, there was no entry fee for students, but that may have changed by now.

I would choose the Henry any day over the Seattle Ary Museum. Why? Because they are not afraid to take risks by showing often provacative and always intreaguing modern art. Plus, and perhaps most importatly, the Henry houses a permanant James Turell piece-- a structure that seems to pull the sky down to earth. Oh, and don't forget to eat at thier quaint little cafe!

I love this The Henry Art Gallery. In all the times I have been at this art museum, they have had fabulous and unique contemporary exhibits, which is exactly my cup of tea. The actual building interior is gorgeous and contemporary; full of nice woods, metal, and tiled floors. They cram a lot of good art into the small spaces, which is on several floors.
Best of all, I am a poor student, and you can get in for free with a student ID! Woohoo!

This place is great! Did you know that if you tell them you are a student and really can't pay they will let you in anyways. Also, every third Thursday of the month, every art gallery in Seattle is free. Go...get cultured...see some new and excited stuff. Okay, so all of it may not be too exciting depending on your opinion but you might as well try it out.

This is Seattle's best art gallery. I try to go as much as possible because they have the most cutting-edge contemporary art around. It is located at the University of Washington, and has a great cafe inside that will cater your event. They also have anice gift shop. I have enjoyed every exhibit I've seen here. Their art makes me think in ways I never have before, challenges me, makes me feel something, and wows me. It is never boring or stuffy, and I am so thankful that we have such a valuable resource here in Seattle.
