3270 Berlin Turnpike
Newington, CT 06111

I live in Enfield which is about 30 minutes away from Price Chopper but still had to try it. And I loved it. The prices were great and their meat department was one of the nicest I have seen around here. I think it is worth the drive.
PROS: Great deals, awesome meat department
CONS: Aisle don't seem wide enough for all the customers.

I live about a 2 miles from this new Price Chopper, and welcome it to the neighborhood. Previously, I had to drive to Stop and Shop near CCSU, or to Shaws on "the other side" of the Berlin Tpke. Neither was really that much further than the new P.C., but both were much more inconvenient to get to for many Newington residents.
The store itself is clean, and huge - it seems to have everything.
However, as for their "cafe", I would avoid it - I heard good things about it, but when I tried to get a cup of coffee there it seemed like they were only interested in serving other PC employees - as if the entire 'cafe' was set up to sell only to employees, not shoppers.
I also bought 2 slices of pizza there once, and they sucked.
My advice: If you want pizza, stop at Bertucci's or Elm Hill on your way home. If you want to have an okay cup of coffee while you shop, go to Stop and Shop (they have a Dunkin Donuts inside).
If you want a big clean competetive grocery store, go to P.C.
PROS: Good grocery store
CONS: Cafe not worth stopping at

A Price Chopper recently opened up near us.
After checking to see if they offered mobility scooters to their customers (they do!) we decided to check them out.
We found the quality of the produce to be fabulous!
While the prices are a bit higher than both Stop & Shop and Shaws, and the store is a bit out of the way, we will occassionally continue to support this store as the quality and service are such that an impression was made... a very good one.
Thank you!
PROS: quality, service
CONS: prices a bit high
