I have been here a few times and have figured out the best time to come is midweek off season. It is peaceful and beautiful and you have the freedom to set down where ever you feel like. No rushing no crowds, lots of treatment availability. If its chilly or raining I just bring a robe. In fact, I almost prefer this weather, makes the warm water almost magical... and the grotto is a great warm escape as well.

What an awful experience..!!! drove about 40min on a Monday morning hoping there wont be many people and guess what... it was a ZOO. I can't believe there is no occupancy control. I mean if you are looking to relax, FORGET ABOUT IT!!! locker room? no room to move, change, get your things, showers, wait in line for about 20min, want to just get some sun? all lounge chairs that are under the sun are taken, u want some shade? yeah okay or go to your car. parked way far, bees everywhere... extremely unpleasant, couldn't even enjoy lunch. So take it from someone who knows about relaxation and don't go if you are looking to relax. the name should change to GLEN IVY THE ZOO...! ********* STARLETT, CONTACT ME. I'M AN ATTORNEY*********** P.S. don't order drinks.... overpriced and NO ALCOHOL

I have been going to Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Carona for 20 years. Unfortunately the last several visit have been very unplesant - unclean bathrooms, little-to-no steam in the steam room, checking bags for alcohol at entrance, long lines, low-rent crowds (couples kissing and groping each other). If I want to deal with that I can just go to the community swimming pool.

I definitely have to agree with some of the comments already posted. The grounds are beautiful, there are lots of different areas and pools to hang out and relax, and the locker rooms are clean and are a small retreat in themselves! My wife and I had a couples massage and were very happy with the quality of massage.

However, with all that said, there are some serious drawbacks. I've never seen a more low-rent collection of customers in my life! I thought I was at the free family swim day at the local city pool! I don't like to judge people by their appearance and I try real hard not too, but the fact of the matter is the clientele at Glen Ivy left me wishing I had stayed at home! None of them bothered to dress to impress anyone, including themselves, which I just don't understand. If you're gonna go out in public then you should dress like it! Oh, and there were way too many oblivious shopping bag ladies wondering around.

Oh, and if you're a guy and you're wondering what your wife was doing all day (assuming she doesn't have a job) because the house isn't clean, the laundry isn't done, and the dinner isn't cooked, well she was probably at the Corona spa with her gf complaining about what a loser she's married to!! I saw plenty of these women there, believe me!

The best thing Glen Ivy could do is raise the admission price to keep out the low-rent customers. But it's just a suggestion. I won't bother to go back there to find out even though I loved the grounds and the massage.

I had never been to Glen Ivy,and my mom had always wanted me to go with her. Finally we got a chance to go with my sister, for mothers day.So we were all SUPER excited to go!We went last friday May 14.everything was going great, enjoying the the mineral bath the jacuzzis even the food was great, until I slipped and fell.Although the lady who washed my cuts with alcohol and took my report was very sweet and attentative I did not like the fact that the 2 people working in the drink stand, that I fell right in front of,did nothing.Did'nt even ask if I was alright. Then later I spoke with one of the guys that saw me fall,a guest,He said he told the guy "Hey look that lady fell and dropped her drink".Instead of coming over to me or even asking if I was ok his response was,"Oh we dont serve lemonade here".Another guest was kind enough to help me up and wait a few minutes to get me a fresh lemonade.I also don't like the fact that it has been a week and yet noone has even called to see how I am doing. But most of all I hated the fact that instead of going home feeling nice and relaxed,I went home bruised and sore.Talk about your bad experiences!!

I've never been to the corona spa but can already tell you that I was not happy after talking to one of their reps. I called to make a reservaton for my daughter and I. She will turn 13 soon and I wanted to take her to the corona site because of the pools, mud, mineral baths, etc. But you have to be 16 or over to get in. They explained it was because they don't have a lifeguard there. I said I'd be there but it was a no-go. I know they have legalities and such but I was bummed that I couldn't take my daughter on her birthday so she can get in for free and I could use my $50 gift card that was given to me 3 years ago to cover my entrance fee. Essentially we'd be getting in for free. Really wanted to spend one day with my daughter at the spa. Can't go on weekends because she has school and her birthday falls on a Sunday. Too bad they couldn't make an exception or at least take in consideration that although she is under 16 she'd be with a parent.

Very relaxing worth the price to get in. I took my husband there for his birthday and he loved it. I do agree with some of the comments there are a lot of creepy old men there with more body hair then a gorilla. The food was really expensive and small portions (my husband had to order 2 meals) but if you order an ice tea you get free refills all day long. I do like the free shampoo and body wash in the locker room lets you go home smelling like the spa. Beware there are a lot of bees there is if your allergic stay away. The mud pool needs to be cleaned better a lot of dead bugs in it.

Pros: landscaping, food, uh..... thats about all I can come up with.
Cons: Bored, rude, young and unfriendly staff, tons of tacky people, tiny mineral pools that smell and are stuffed with people, teensy towels, clay mud that looks and feels like crunchy peanut butter, overcrowding, loooooong lines, hard to get through on the phone, creepy solo guys as well as plenty of couples groping each other and making out, gross slippery and slimy floors, no slippers, no robes, overpriced everything, no relaxing music, atmosphere, etc.
Its like paying an arm and a leg to go to someones rowdy, (albeit nicely landscaped) backyard pool party. The hygiene is questionable, the clientele is low rent, and the staff seems to feel that they are doing everyone a favor by allowing us to be at their "spa".
Also, the Lomi Lomi massage is the creepiest massage I have ever had, it was simply bizarre, just, a total FAIL. The lady was more interested in doing the weird dance moves and ritualistic arm flailing than she was in giving me my moneys worth and really rubbing my sore muscles. Plus at one point in the massage she put an ice cold rock on my forehead- NOT Relaxing! It was Bizarr-O for reals.........
So..... Lomi Lomi? Nomi Nomi

I had always loved going to the Glen Ivy in Corona but my last visit has greatly disappointed me! I had tried to use a $100 gift card that I had purchased on-line but when the cashier ran it through she said the card had only $70 credit. That was 8 months ago! Since then I've tried to get what is owed to me but keep getting the run around from the Manager! I've tried their general information number and when I finally got my call answered it was an automated voicemail system! Argh! And I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full! Terrible customer service! And I still have not gotten the money they owe me!!!

Every month or so, I go to Glen Ivy with my mom and aunt. We coordinate our busy schedules months ahead of time for a special day of relaxing. We live modest lives and don't have the resources to treat ourselves to facials, massages, and other fancy treatments, but we save up for our days at Glen Ivy. We truly enjoy moving from pool to pool, steam room to sauna, mud bath to floating lounge--all of these relaxing treatments are included in the admissions price. The facilities, however, are gorgeous, and you feel like a million bucks even if you're on a budget!

I took my husband to Glen Ivy for our anniversary. He wasn't sure at first, but quickly got into the hot tubs and mudd application and we had a very relaxing day. The restaurant is incredible. A day at Glen Ivy is like a vacation day -- so good for your mind and body. The first time I went, I didn't know what to expect and didn't take a robe so be prepared and take a robe to lounge around the grounds in.

My sister surpised me for my 16th birthday and took me to Glenn Ivy, I've been hooked ever since. I love this place. Now in my adult hood I can obviously appreciate it more then back then, but either way it is a wonderful place to spend a day. You don't even need to schedule appointments for massages or facials or manis and pedis to have a relaxing day. They offer plenty of services that are included in your admission fee. While getting a massage is just so much better, I'll take a day of lounging anytime.

My friend and I try to visit the Spa as often as possible. It is such a relaxing, therapeutic "girlie" day unmatched by any other outing. The grounds are manicured to perfection, the food is excellent, the spas are always clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful and oh that massage is so wonderful. Thank you for a great get away!

The day rate is pricey, but well worth it as there are tons of pools, hot mineral baths and a red clay mud bath. It is the perfect trip with friends, your special someone or even as a family day. Treatments in the spa are nice too.

What can I say but once you go you will want to return. The locations is great and easy to get to from the 15 frwy. The entrance price will let you use all of the different pools and mud baths. Take some friends and just sit a chat while sitting in the different spas. they have a food bar that serves and sodas. If you really need to relax you can have a glass of wine. If you want to get a massage you will need to make an appointment ahead of time. But do check through out the day sometimes they have cancellations. This spa is worth all the money.

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is incredible! I love to go there to just "get away" and relax. With the regular admission, you have access to all of the different pools, mineral baths, and the mud baths~which is so much fun! Slather yourself with red clay from head to toe and then let it bake into your skin! You may look like a strange creature, but its a blast. For an extra price, you can go down into the Grotto and put this green clay on your skin, its great. You can also get massages and other spa services for an extra cost. All of it is great! They have a cafe which serves delicious healthy food and a fun gift shop to visit on the way out. I would recommend this place to any one...dont worry about your body, you will see all shapes and sizes there!

This is a great day trip for pampering. It does suck that it's $40 just to get into the place to use the pools, but you do get access to the mud. I also think their prices for massages, manicures, and so on are also expensive, but getting a facial, after sitting in the mineral bathes, made me feel like every penny was well spent.

Most spas are pretty pricey. The massages and the facials here are no exception. The reason I love this spa though is that there is a plethora of free activities for people to enjoy if they dont have enough money for a more special one on one treatment. With sparkling mineral baths, a clay mud bath, and a number of other relaxing pools and spas to relax in, this is the only spa that I have ever felt was worth my money.

A beautiful place to relax and be pampered. With mineral pools, salt water hot tubs, a mud pit, and "lilly pond" to relax in, Glen Ivy will relax your body and mind. There are enough tubs and pools to fill the day. For an added fee you can enjoy a massage (advanced reservations recommended) or enjoy the Grotto with it's cave-like atmosphere and eucalyptis smell. By far the highlight is the mud pit. Smear on some purifying mud and bake in the sun before rinsing off. Weekday rates are lower than weekends. Champagne and food available at the snack bars.

PROS: Relaxing service at a reasonable price
CONS: Summers can be very hot, steam room and indoor hot tubs are uni-sex

Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa is the perfect place to rejuvenate both body and soul for a mere $35-$48 for an entire day of bliss. Admission includes use of mud bath, and all pools, jacuzzis, Roman mineral and salt tubs, steam rooms, sauna, showers, towels, and lockers. Also cafe, boutique, massage and salon services are available at extra charge and by appointment. But my favorite thing about this heavenly place is that NO ONE seems to be into the whole "beautiful people strutting their stuff" scene. It is a haven for seniors and the ordinary folk wishing to relax and unwind without feeling self-conscious in an XL bathing suit. Be forewarned that the red mud clay may stain some fabrics.

PROS: Unpretentious, reasonably-priced, divine setting & services, no kids
CONS: Nearest hotel is 12-13 miles away

Glen Ivy Hot springs has all the elements that you could hope for in a spa experience. They have pools, jaccuzzis, mineral hot tubs, mud packs, and a cave with paint on skin moisturizer/conditioner, which is all included in the price of admission. For extra money, you can get massages, facials, manicures etc. The staff is great, and the food is good. The times that I have gone, the included activities keep me busy, and I don't feel like I need to get a massage as well, although it would be very nice. A day at Glen Ivy is a nice relaxing day.

I went to the glen ivy spa for the first time on my 21st birthday with some friends. i had a blast! they have so many different kinds of pools: hot, warm, cool, shallow, deep, hot springs with minerals and a mudd pond. you can start a tab so you don't have to carry anything around and the have water areobics, massages, facials and more. i don't know about the mens locker/bathroom but in the womens its fun just being in there. there's a spa, a sauna, lots of showers, lots of mirrors with blow dryers and more. when your in the girls locker room, after a long fun but very relaxing day, everyone gets ready together it seems like as if we were ALL going to a night club to have more fun. all the women get so dressed up afterwards, it's just a fun environment. the only reason i didn't make it a 5 star is because i'm sure it's not a fansy of a spa as some others that might be out there like the ones famous people go to but you feel like a star after you come out of there. you are ready for anything.

This is my favorite way to spend a day. The mud bath feels so good and after you let it dry and then wash it off, your skin just feels so soft. The sauna is nice, the salt water pool, the sulphur bath is probably my favorite. Although it reminds me of a rotten egg, I feel so relaxed after sitting in the hot water.
The snack bars are reasonably priced and offer many selections from the junk food to gourmet sandwiches and wine.
Massages? Try the hot rock massage, I live for it. Can't wait to go back again.
It is a bit pricy, but very worth it. Plan on spending the whole day.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to have fun with your friends, family or significant other, Glen Ivy is a great place to go. Walking into the spa you are immediately touched by the relaxation and joyful feeling that customers are feeling while enjoying their spa day. A cafe and a snack shop that includes healthy foods, wine, champagne and fruit juices assist in leaving the spa feeling cleansed, and relaxed. The spa facilities included in the entrance price are a full size swimming pool that periodically throughout the day is full of swimmers taking an aerobic class, a pool that is only a few feet deep and full of mats to layout on, three jacuzzies, two of which includes a rough bottom to clean and smooth the bottom of your feet, a mud pile to paint over your body as a body mask to cleanse your skin, and a sulfur pools to soften your skin. In addition to these many amenities that all come at an inexpensive price, each customer can schedule spa procedures at an additional fee. If going in the summer months and weekends, prepare for a crowd, but it is well worth it. Glen Ivy is a great way to spend your day!

Really dissapointed with this place. I spent the weekend at Canyon Lake and hit the Glen Ivy Spa on the way home on a Sunday.

Upon arriving, we noticed the parking lot was completely full. When we got into the reception area, there were 4 attendants checking people in. "Next customer in Line" is the first thing I heard. I'm used to "Hello Mr Dempsey, welcome to our spa" or something like that.

The fee to get in was $43 just to use their facilities...no treatments included. "$96 Dollars" she says to us. I really felt like I was at the bank or something.

The grounds were pretty nice, however, there were wall-to-wall people in the pools, on the lounge chairs, in line at the cafe's, etc. It was like going to Raging Waters without the kids.

It was 100 degrees out that day. So I put my towel down and got into the pool.......bathwater! I went to every pool and found no relief! There was no way to cool down at all. I ended up going into the men's locker room and watched the Dodger game on the plasma tv (that was actually nice) while my wife got a massage.

All the people in our party enjoyed their treatments, but the rest of the experience was not enjoyable. If they would limit the amount of people, and brush up on the cusomer service, it would improve the experience greatly.

PROS: Treatments are good, not too expensive
CONS: Way too many people, poor customer service, no cold pools, not very clean.

Did I mention relaxation at it's FINEST?!This place is amazing and in NO way like any other day spa I've ever been!
For a reasonablel fee, you can spend the day in one of their several pools, hot tubs (include various types including salt water and mineral water), steam rooms and saunas. Plus, the MUD BATH is fabulous - you gotta do it!

This is a great place to visit with friends.
Pros:
relaxing environment, entrance fee ~$40 (include locker and towels), easy parking, close to freeway, a small plaza just on the way from the freeway had live music and lots of shops full of selections of local snacks.
Cons:
Too crowded on the day I visited (Sunday), the wait for shower was about 30min around 3pm, not to mention the cafe. I heard that if you have an appointment (that's more than $100), you still need to pay for entrance fee ($40), which totals around $150.
The place was not as big as I expected.

Will I visit again?
Since my drive is from OC, CA. No. Hate to fight the crowds there when I'm supposed to be relaxing. I would probably just use local spas. And if I need outdoor fun, I'll go to Ragin waters or water parks. But if was fun to visit it once.

Wow!!!!!!!!!
This place is amazing--like no other dayspa!
For a nominal fee, you can spend the day in one of several pools, hot tubs (various types including salt water, mineral water), a fabulous mud pool (this is an experience not to be missed) and steam rooms and saunas. Spend the day relaxing...it's like an amusement park for adults---did I say wow?
For an additional cost, you can visit the Grotto, an underground spot where you are covered in an awesome moisturizing paste and sit to dry, and visit if you like.
Also, for additional fees, are standard spa visits, like massage, body wraps and facials.
Need a vacation but can't get away for long...here's a vacation in a day!

PROS: no appointment needed to enjoy facilities

I go once a month to this great spa!
They have this great mud bath were you can cover yourself with mud that will help you detoxify your body completely.
my recommendation is to start in the jacuzzi with warm water then swim in the mineral water pool and finish with the mud bath.
The money for the day pass is well spent at this very relaxing world class spa.

I came here one day in the summer and ended up leaving because it was one of the two days in the year that they allow kids into the grounds. It was way overcrowded and not relaxing that day, but I got to look around and would definitely consider going back. They had several different areas like a mud bath, salt mineral bath, hot spring tubs from natural geysers, shower areas and sunbathing areas so it seemed like a pretty cool place to come and pamper yourself for the day.

Not your typical day spa- Glen Ivy is a large location with the majority of facilities outside (mineral pools, sulfer jaccuzies, mud pools, etc) & indoor areas for massages & various treatments. Great price which includes use of all outdoor facilities. A relaxing way to spend a sunny day!
