You have to distinguish between the stores. The owner at the store located at Park Row & Bowen is indeed RUDE, I don't know her name but I'm sure this is who the previous remark was directed towards. I live a few blocks away and will not shop there, instead I drive to the Randol Mill location and it's worth the trip! They are so friendly, helpful and their inventory is far more extensive. Just avoid the Park Row location and you'll be in good shape. I have to add that every single employee I've ever met at a Gene Allen's store has been very good, it's just this one particular lady who is mad at the world.

I live a few blocks away and will not shop there, instead I drive to the Randol Mill location and it's worth the trip! They are so friendly, helpful and their inventory is far more extensive. Just avoid the Park Row location and you'll be in good shape. I have to add that every single employee I've ever met at a Gene Allen's store has been very good, it's just this one particular lady who is mad at the world.
Do NOT spend your money here! Owner Connie Gauntt is greedy and rude to children. Until today I had been a loyal customer for 20 years.Mr. Allen the original owner would have been aphauled at her rude behavior towards my 6 year old son. We used to visit the store weekly after karate for all our gift needs. Today we came in to finish Valentine's shopping, I spent over $150.00 on Thursday, and asked him to it on the bench with his donuts and resealable drink. He was rudely approched by the owner Connie and said he "couldn't be in the store with food and drink" meanwhile, as I was about to purchase food and drink from the sweet shoppe, when I asked for the manager. I was insensed that Connie the OWNER upset my child, the person and REASON we go there in the first place. If you have children shop at the Lincoln Square Hallmark store. They love and respect children.....one of the main reasons Hallmark is in busness! She would gladly let me buy her food and coffee.

This is not your average Hallmark store! I love that they carry lines like Vera Bradley, Brighton, and Tyler Candles. I drive all the way from Dallas to visit this store because of their great selection and friendly staff. I always find the perfect gift at Gene Allen's!

Wow! Love their sweet shop chocolates and home made fudge.
I always receive excellent service when I visit Gene Allen's regardless of if I know what gift I want or I need help making a selection.

This is one of three Gene Allens in the Arlington Area. This Hallmark is fairly large and chock full of amazing Gifts.
Unlike the Corporate hallmark stores, the private ones seem to have more of a Variety of Different Collectibles. This is one of those stores.
Beside carrying the usual Hallmark Cards and Keepsake Ornaments, they have a wide selection of Yankee Candles, Department 56, Jim Shore, TY Beanie Babies...and Many More!!
When I don't know exactly what to get someone, I come here. I have never left without having found the "perfect" gift!
