F.A.O. Schwartz

It is nice that there are demonstrators showing their products as you walk by. The big piano is always nice but the rush to sell you photos is less so. The prices are high but not outrageous. The layout is awkward and a reorganization wouldn't hurt.

What is there to be said about the monolith of all toy stores? From the big piano floor pad made famous by the movie Big to the latest and greatest its children??s entertainment, FAO Schwartz has it all. When I was a kid, getting to go to FAO Schwartz was the best of all treats. They literally have anything and everything you could imagine. It??s where my mom bought Tamagachis and Furbies and robotic dogs and Tickle-Me-Elmo??s. These days gifts for children are way more high tech; my little cousins all have Wii??s and have asked for iPad??s for their birthday presents, and FAO Schwartz definitely offers all of those products, but they still feature good old fashioned kid??s toys. Real dolls and train sets and tangible items that you can take home and assemble with your bare hands. The staff is energetic and helpful, and everyone who works there wants to help make little kid??s dreams come true, and shouldn??t that be what places like that represent? At its very core, it should be about the magic of make-believe.

This has to be the best store for kids! I came in here with my little cousin and felt like a kid again. The store is filled with the best toys ever created with samples to try out and play with. There was also the biggest selection of stuffed animals I had ever seen. Although the toys were a little pricy it was definitely worth it!

I love being a kid and I was there awhile ago but it is the best toy store i've ever been to! The only one where you can actually play in it is so awesome! If you are ever in New York this is a must see legendary store!

This is it. The legendary toy store you seen in the movie Big with Tom Hanks. It's a must-see place when you go to New York, just for the experience. The store itself is really amazing. As for toys, they have a cool selection. Most of them can be overpriced, but you have to go here for the experience most of all.

FAO Schwartz is a monstrous fun zone for kids of all ages. From the new ice cream parlor through the baby's shop in the basement this is just a great place to shop. Helpful staff are all over and it seems truckloads of new toys arrive daily making the store an ever changing adventure. They have dolls, action figures, stuffed animals, arts and crafts and thousands of other items. Just a fun fun place to be.

F.A.O. Schwartz was closed but is now back open! This is a New York City Landmark that might be easy to recognize from all of the films that shot scenes inside (Home Alone 2, Big). This toy store has everything that you could possibly need, even hard to find gifts. Their selection is very huge. Their candy is great too! Check it out, but avoid December, as it is a madhouse then.
