This is a great pediatric office. I've found that the attitude you give is the attitude you receive. No one can tell me that every doctor has been on point in diagnosing anything. First off, they are not God, so they are going to make mistakes. Understandable, this is your child. I have 3 children and they are great and I've never received attitude and if I do I kill them with kindness to the point where they have to smile or be nice. I came from a pediatric office that prescribed penicillin for everything. So Growing child was a plus! They have helped my kids in more ways than one. One child was referred to the ENT during the first office visit as I told them EXACTLY what was going on, once a gain, they are not God so they don't know what is going on by just a few words. Give details. One was diagnosed with wheezing but they didn't want to call it asthma as it wasn't that extreme; however, she was given a breathing machine and I use it as needed and now she is fine. My son has eczema, he is fine now. As far as seeing the same doctor, based upon your need you can see the same doctor, when it is time for a schedule routine visit I always get the same doctor, but if it is an emergency case and I need to go in that day, I may not get the same doctor as our regular doctor schedule is full.
One a negative note, I would not take my child to the new location on New Bern Ave. by the Super Wal-Mart, they are nasty, after I was nice and tried to talk to them nicely, the receptionist still got nasty. I vowed that I would never go back to that one, even if it is closer to the house. I will drive to Wake Forest and that I do.

I wouldn't recommend anyone going here. In fact I would recommend that anyone that takes their child there to please stop before they misdiagnose your child to. In July of 2008 my son came down with a sickness. He wasn't sleeping well at night, would always throw up for no reason. And I mean this child was throwing up once a week at least. He wasn't acting like himself, he was getting ear infections, and would only want to drink fluids and would only eat like once a day. This is now a normal 13 month old child is suppose to act. For 6 months they diagnosed him with everything from seasonal allergies to walking pneumonia. They sent me to the Brier creek office to have a allergy test done, which the doctor there refused to do. They gave him enough medicine that a normal healthy child would take in a two years time. They would walk in listen to what I had to say and then tell me "oh he has such and such" It made be feel like they were in a rush to get me out of there instead of properly caring for my child. Around Nov. I got fed up of my son being sick so I took him to Wake Forest Pediatric. instead. And in the first visit they diagnosed him with Chronic Sinusitis. They put him on Cephrin 250 mg to try and clear him up, and when there was no improvement they gave him 3 Rocphein shots 500mg. When that still didn't clear him up, they made me go to a ENT specialist. I found out from them that the prolonged sickness made his adenoids swell and were affecting his sinus glands which caused the build up of mucus behind his throat. Then they found out he had temporary hearing lose caused by so much fluid in his ears from having so many ear infections without proper medicine for them. My 20 month old son had to go into surgery. A BABY!! to get his adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears. If they would have done their job better and took him seriously then this all could have been prevented. DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR CHILD THERE! I never want any mother to have to go though what I had to, and be forced to watch their child suffer. Please get your child out of this pediatric office.

I am a 15 yr. old girl and I love this dr. office. I have been going there for 7 years and i love the doctors and nurses. They treat you great and yes they run a little behind sometimes but all dr. offices do that. When i went to go get my shots they do it fast and quick. Then if i have to talk to a doctor i always talk to Mrs. Joanna she is great and she always help me. My mom works there and let me teel you she never stops because they are always busy. The doctors and nurses might not get along w/ each other sometimes but it is great. And i have 2 lil. brothers and they love them. When we are up there they treat them like they are there own. These doctors and nurses have kids and are the best so I recomended you see them. Only reason y sometimes u see different doctors is because the ones they usually see are always busy

We moved here from out of state and had just applied for Medicare for our toddler. He was terribly sick and had trouble breathing. Dr. Hamp was wonderful and gave us a nebulizer to use on our little one until our insurance came through. He also did not charge us for his service until our insurance coverage was in place. The staff needed a little explanation of what was going on, but Dr. Hamp went above and beyond. What a Godly man!

I went to this office on 4/14/08 as a walk-in due to an emergency, and you would think I was asking for free service. The front office staff were annoyed because I was a walk-in and complained that their phones are packed with weekend calls - not my problem. Once the doctor, Joanne Wagner, saw my child, she treated me as if I were stupid because I told her that my child had the shivers. She stated; "You didn't know the shivers were followed by a fever"? She was very condescending, obnoxious, and snooty. Once I left that office, I promised never to go back there again. No one should have to deal with their rude staff and arrogant doctors. I have two kids and there is no way I'll expose them to such poor treatment by these miserable medical staff.

My opinion on this doctors office is that yes, they can give great care for your child, most of the time, but i have experienced problems with them. i bring both of my girls to see a doctor, and every time that we go there they never see the same doctor. they see who ever is there. i am from upstate NY and we had one doctor for my children, i thought that this is very strange. also when my daughter got sick, she had trouble breathing, when i brought her in the doctor that we saw said that she could not be certain what she had or how to treat her. so she proceeded to give her allergy medication. it turned out that it did not help her. so i called that and we went back a second time, we saw a different doctor. he said that we should try asthma medication. she tried that, again after 7 days she still wasn't any better. so i called and we went back again. needless to say that by the time that some one figured out what was wrong we had been back and forth 6 times and we had seen six different doctors. unbelievable. what do these doctors go to school for? aren't they supposed to be able to diagnose someone correctly. one of them actually told me that they had no idea what the diagnosis was. they did not know how to treat her. that doctor should not even be practicing medicine. all of the doctors there need to go back to school.

Many doctors to care for your child as they grow. Great location. Plenty of parking and nurses that go an extra mile.
Sick and well children waiting area.
