Jose A. Iturregui, DDS

I love going to Dr.Iturregui! He is not only gentle on my teeth and gums, but is very personable. His staff is amazing and makes me feel so comfortable whenever I come in.

Dr. Iturregui is not only a gifted dentist, but a true professional and perfectionist. He has given my husbands very difficult set of teeth a new lease on life.

My husband has been a grinder since he was a child, so his teeth have extensive wear (they get noticeably smaller over the years) and - now that it has been confirmed, have been splitting and fracturing all over, although this is not noticable to the untrained eye.

We've been through numerous in the St. Pete area, trying to find a Dentist who would acknowledge and really treat the problems in my husbands mouth without just filling cavities and ignoring the bigger problem. We finally decided to make the 3 hour drive to Orange City to have Dr. Iturregui have a go, and from the start, he began devising a plan to restore his teeth to a healthy, attractive state. In that first visit, Dr. Iturregui fine-tuned his mouth guard to minimize the damage (every other Dentist just glanced at the mouth guard - Dr. Iturregui actually inspected it and improved it on the first visit. He makes it seem so simple!)

He also identified problems with 'old and deteriorating cavities' that turned out to be work done in the last 6 months by another St. Pete dentist (we checked the medical /financial records and were horrified to find that we paid 200$+ for the bad work on those same teeth). He used blown up pictures of the mouth to show exactly what the problem was with the fillings and why they were either a) already failing to do the job and allowing plaque to grow underneath the poor filling or b) on the verge of failing.

He's already done extensive work to repair 'old' fillings and build up ground down teeth. He was focused on keeping my husband as comfortable as possible while working on his teeth, and got through hours of repairs in one afternoon. We were both thrilled with the results. It looks like he's never had a filling in those teeth, and the longer front teeth dramatically improve his beautiful smile.

We have more work to go to get his mouth into tip-top shape, but we are thrilled to have finally found the Dentist to get us there, even if it means we have to drive across the state.

Excellent dentist and very professional atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Dr. Iturregui is also a prosthodontist; specializes in crown and bridges, dentures, and implants.
