Mackoul, Paul J, Md - Womens Surgery Ctr

Dr. MacKoul was the only doctor that said he could remove my 19 pound fibroid laparascopically. With just a few tiny incisions, located in hidden places, my fibroid was removed and my recovery began. I stopped taking pain meds after 3 days, was driving after 8 days and was back to work in two weeks. It was a great recovery and much better than my open myomectomy recovery 12 years ago.

Awesome surgeon & great staff. Dr. MacKoul is very informative, thorough and patient. Very much appreciated! Follow-up in a timely manner is very good. I felt I was treated like a patient and not just a number. Return email by MD was also in a timely manner.

Everything was as expected. I was given enough information pre and post op to make me feel more confident during my recovery. All of my questions were answered ahead of time. I was amazed that I could return to work within 10 days with minimal discomfort.

Dr. MacKoul was very professional, spent plenty of time explaining procedure, explaining diagnosis. Staff was so helpful and so easy to work with, so accommodating and pleasant! My recovery was very fast, I never had to take any medication for pain and felt back to normal a week after surgery. I decided to go with this practice after hearing more about the technique and I am so glad I did! Overall experience was wonderful, tiny scars, I am so thankful!

Every doctor that I spoke with about my surgery stated Dr. MacKoul is the best minimally invasive gynecological surgeon they know. I went to see Dr. MacKoul and I was very happy with my experience, I now speak very highly of him and his staff to everyone I know. When in need for a gynecologic surgery, this is the place to go! Extremely appreciated professionalism and expertise, all around!

Skilled, professional MD and staff. I felt very comfortable to trust them with this important decision of having surgery. I was confident in Dr MacKoul's abilities to diagnose my issues and perform minimally invasive procedure. Process from beginning to end was smooth & met my expectations, recovery has been excellent. Dr. Mackoul was able to perform a complete hysterectomy with no complications from the severe endometriosis. Dr. MacKoul explained the procedure & took plenty of time to answer questions. Was called & checked on twice by nurses, very caring. I was fully informed about both the positive and negative outcomes and the risks of procedures. I felt much better after a few days. I wish I had done this sooner. Dr. Mackoul and his staff are the best.

Dr. Mackoul explained everything to me to the full extent, was very patient and answered all my questions, he even made some drawings so I could understand better. Fast recovery and less complications. Dr. is a true professional.

Dr. MacKoul is not only a great surgeon who has developed a laparoscopic technique that decreases post op pain and greatly shortens recovery time, he's also a caring person who listens to concerns and develops a plan based on the patients' needs. I had not had surgery before and have health conditions that could interfere with anesthesia and recovery. Dr. MacKoul listened to my concerns, and, together, we decided on the procedure that was best for me. He clearly cared about my concerns and my needs, and wanted to make my surgery as painless as possible and my recovery as quick as possible. And he did. Care after the surgery was phenomenal, too. I had questions, and he and the other doctors were available 24/7 to answer questions. The office staff was just as helpful. If you're considering laparoscopic surgery for gynecological conditions, please consider Women's Surgery Center. They will give you the best care possible....and they will care about you, too.

I have been truly impressed by the quality of care Ive received from the front office staff to the medical professionals. They have all been polite, compassionate and prompt. Dr. MacKouls clinical/surgical expertise is without question, but what makes him a truly great healer/physician is that he respects and listens to me as a woman (patient) with real health needs and concerns. Thanks for setting the bar high for womens health care!!!

Dr. MacKoul is the BEST - hands down. Dealing with major medical issues is stressful, but one thing I didn't have to worry about was the level of care I was receiving. Unlike some surgeons, Dr. MacKoul discussed with me what I wanted & how we could achieve that goal while maintaining my health. He was patient, answered my questions thoroughly & worked with me and my family - he was an answer to prayers! I did wait a little bit, but when a doctor actually sits down with you and answers questions, there are bound to be tie-ups. Bottom line, it's worth the wait.

The information about the procedure was given in great detail. He explained everything that was going on with my body. His staff was very nice and helpful.

Dr MacKoul provided superb care throughout my visits to the office and for surgery. This was a FANTASTIC experience! If you have to have anything done with fibroids please see Dr MacKoul first.
