.

I first took two of my children to see Dr Caspe. They had a cold and sore throat. He was asking questions and gave us the recommendations to rest and take advil. We did. The next appointment was for myself. I needed a physical and had a few aches and pains and was wondering what was wrong. Basically he told me to loose weight. I do need to loose weight, my problem is I gave him that answer? I said could I be having this and that because of my wieght? He said yes? He is not a small fit man. He is HUGE and chubby to put it kindly.I had to "go" to a lab to get blood work done?. I told him isn't there someone to do the blood work at his office? He then had his gal do it. They sent it out to the lab. My husband had the same blood work done. We were called back in and I was told to go on a cholosterol lowering med and my husband was told to lower it with diet and exercise? I asked if my cholosterol level was due to my family history? He cut me off and said no its what you are eating and not doing "exercising"? So I said my husband and I eat the same things and do the same amount of exercise? He cut me off again? After my diagnosis was given. He then talked with my husband and told him that your wife and you must eat totally differently? Because his wasn't as high as mine? I thought how strange that he is trying to basically catch me in a lie? My husband told him actually my wife has a healthier diet than he does. And that she exercises more regularly than he does? Dr Caspe I guess didn't believe him either. Then when about 2 months went by I recieved a bill from his lab saying I owed X amount of dollars? I found out that it was for the blood work. My husband and I had the same blood work done and his was paid because when they (lab) flagged it Dr Caspe's office changed the code so it was paid about 6weeks before. Mine was not flagged and then landed in my mailbox. I called Dr Caspe's office after talking with my Insurance thinking that was the problem, they said no just call your Dr have them change the code and everything will be taken care of? Well I tried. I made one call the first day and two the next. Because I was ignored? On the 3rd call the receptionist transferred my call to Dr Caspe and he was rude saying that several of his patients were having the same problem and that it isn't him its them (lab) and to call the lab myself and then hung up on me. He showed his anger and impatience with me. I will never go back to him. If he can't handle a simple phone call well then forget it? I am very easy to get along with almost to a fault. I was not rude and very understanding when I tried dealing with the front desk but I guess this was a sore subject in the office and so she just transferred me and was saving herself the headache of dealing with him. I was very happy to find a doctor that was just his office and not 12 doctors under one roof and being made to feel like just a number. And at first he was very personable and friendly. But by the 2nd appointment things changed. I guess he looped us in then didn't care enough to keep us? Don't go to him! By the second appointment you are not cared about at all.
