Choosing this doctor as my primary doctor was a huge mistake. The nurse practitioner, Marianne, completely misdiagnosed me when I had pneumonia. And when I had expressed interest in quitting smoking cigarettes, she pretty much told me she couldn't help me and that I was going to 'smoke myself away' and that I was going to end up 'dying of emphysema or lung cancer.' I told her that I cut down to 3-5 cigarettes a day and that I spent 40 dollars on nicotine patches. I even tried to get Chantix but the medicaid wouldn't cover it. I explained to her it is difficult having a 3 month old, a 5 year old, and bipolar disorder to just quit cold turkey. And still, she offered no help, only criticism and irrational accusations. Also, at the previous visit she told me my 'pneumonia' was definitely gone. However, at the recent visit she told me she wasn't sure and the only way to tell would be by getting a chest x-ray (which she did not have done or discuss getting done). She told me that my sore throat was probably mono caused by the inhaler she had me use (which was a sample, not a prescription). And when I told her that I was going to get a 2nd opinion and write a review on her, she would not give me her name (i'm bad with names). So I had to ask the front desk for her name. Oh yeah, and after 3 visits, I still never got a chance to see the actual doctor!

My husband went to see the Dr because of his bronchitis. The Dr thought he might have phnemonia so scheduled him for chest X-rays... 10 days later. He told him to take a couple days off of work to let the medicine kick in. The nurse wrote a Dr excuse for work for one day. I called the next day to see if I could come by and get it changed for two days since my husband wasn't getting any better and needed more than one day off of work. They said that should be fine. I asked, "Are you sure, because I don't want to drive 30 minutes over there just to be told no." The lady was VERY rude and said, "We are really busy, so just come down and see. It's not like I'm going to stake my life on it, but it should be fine!" and abruptly hung up on me. So I drive 30 minutes down there. There is nobody in the office and the ladies at the desk aren't doing anything. I stand there for 5 minutes before they even get up to see what I need. They take the note and come back saying, "The Dr says that he's not sick enough to ask for more days off. If he thinks he is he can come in and get another note" I dispute it saying, "The Dr said to take a couple days off, it has only been one day. Why can't you just add one more day to the note?" She said, "Well he'll just have to come in for another appointment" to which I said, "Ok are you open tomorrow?" "No". So I had my husband call. Again they were rude and abrupt to him on the phone and HUNG UP ON HIM. I told them that I would turn them into the BBB, and they smugly said, "Ok, that's fine!"
