If you want to look out from the tower's top, you'd best go during daylight, as Coit Tower generally closes at 5pm. Coit Tower is one of San Francisco's best attraction spot because of its mixture of history and scenic prominence. But you'll need to find something to do afterwards...it doesn't take that long to stand there and take it all in.
If you want to do something cool and fun that is out of the ordinary then this place is for you! Female impersonators in a cabaret-style revue and they are good. just make sure to call for times as they tend to change.
Push a shopping cart around as you try on trendy clothes for the young or young-at-heart. But not all outlets in this area are phenomenal bargains. As always, shop around. You may do better buying at home. But, you may be in the right place at the right time and find something that's perfect for you.
For a fast, cheap lunch on the go, Ali Baba's Cave has a host of Haight fans. The falafel and shawarma are the biggest draws, in addition to Middle Eastern salads, eggplant dishes, and sandwiches in this dimly-lit nook.
Turn to the kid in your life, perhaps your own inner child, and say "Ice cream factory tour." Chances are, that kid will not need to know anything else before clamoring to go, but here are some details anyway. Dreyer's Grand ice cream offers tours of its facility that take you through every stage of the ice cream-making process, including a look at the gargantuan 500-gallon flavor vats and a (mercifully) brief walk through the freezer, which is kept at 20 degrees below zero. The highlight of the tour, of course, is the tasting room.
Admission: $2 by appointment only; cash only

I am a BIG music lover and this was just the kind of places I like. I took my nephew who is learning guitar (and is pretty dang good!) and he was lovin this place...they sell guitars very cheap and other instruments as well and the sales people have alot of knowledge of music so they are well equipped to help you!.
I really like this theatre...I'm not a fan of crowded theatres and the one has alot of spacious seating and good selection of movies. last time I went the staff was very nice and after a ticket mix up they even went out of thier way and gave me a free popcorn...good experience!!
