Excellent place for used music. We go here all the time with our kids and usually find a used copy of what we are looking for really cheap. They also have new CD's and Videos new and used. CD's can be played at the listening stations in front of store. You can relax and sit and listen at a table! Great place to also SELL CD's and Videos. We have done this before and you can get cash or credit towards something in the store. They are very fair in buying. Open late on weekend nights.

My boyfriend has been here a couple of times and will never go back. He told me to give them less than a star they were soooo bad. They will attempt to find more problems than you have and try and upgrade you to something you dont need and pump up your bill. Dishonest and rude salespeople. THis place is a rip-off. Stay away, stay far away!!
Light Bulbs Unlimited
Need a lightbulb for a wierd lamp? An antique lamp with a wierd socket? Buy a lamp at Ikea and it requires a bulb that you have never seen before with a odd number? Don't even attempt to look anyplace else. THis is the place to come. THey have bulbs for all your lighting needs. I guess you could say they have every light bulb Under the Sun!! THey carry neon lighting also. Friendly staff, Parking on Ventura a little tricky sometimes.

THE best happy hour in the valley. All Drinks and Appetizers are half from 4PM-8PM!! Lots of time to drink and eat and drink!! Blended Margaritas are really yummy. Try Mango or Strawberry. Appetizers at half off are incredibly cheap. Try Nachos, Quesadillas, Tacos, and my favorite the Buffalo Chicken Fingers which are boneless and spicy but go great with the magaritas!! Drinks are big, so watch out if you are driving, 4 hours is a long time to drink at half off and drive home. Great place to hang to watch sports games. TV's places around the bar and rest. area. Gets crowded at these times.
Fantastic Sams
My boyfriend has been getting his hair cut here for years. No appointment necessary. He get a different person every time but doesn't seem to mind. THey are Cheap - $14.95 mens hair! and really fast. He goes for the numbered cutters, which I just learned about. He was going with a #1 but it was coming out too short, I made him try a #2, too long for him. So we have compromised on a #1 1/2. Now its Perfect hair everytime. This sound like Goldilocks and the Three Hair Cutters Story!!! So...moralof story, A Fast, Cheap, and Reliable Cut every time.
Bath & Body Works
This old store just got better. Recently went at Christmas time and found they had changed the entire store. Added more space, more products and now its like a small Sephora. Candles are scrumptious! Try the Homemade Cookie or Buttered Mashed Potatos smells. Big hits at our home. THey have a nice selection of Henri Bendel products that I have not seen anywhere else. A lot of shampoo,conditioner and skin lotions. Ask a salesperson for a sample if you spot a product you like and it has a TESTER label on it. Some salespeople are quite generous with the sample. Sales are frequent and bins all throughout store with tons of goodies. Take your time and really look, I spotted a french hairline that I covet but costs way too much and was 50% off so I grabbed a few items.
Abercrombie & Fitch
Have a teenager most likely they will want to shop here. Clothes are really nice but way too overprices. Unless you check back of store for sale items frequently. Jeans are nice fitting but there is a huge selection of distressed ones and not enough of regular jeans. Salespeople look like their ads! Christmas time there was a barechested HUNK that you could take a polaroid with and the money went to a charity. Hey I admit he was really nice to look at, couldn't help it he was right in the door asyou walked in. LOUD music is deafening unless you are 13-17! Great for gifts, teens seem to LOVE this place and they have gift certificates that are a BIG hit for presents.
Sportsmen's Lodge
We have had relatives stay here often. Nice accommodations, pool, spa, coffee shop and restaurant and bar. Do it yourself Laundry facilities down hall is a plus for our family members. We also had a Bat Mitzvah here a couple of years ago. It was a wonderful party held outside under a canopy. Staff was wonderful and helpful. The pool is large and refreshing with lots of patio and lounge chairs for relaxing, a nice pert if you dont have a pool and family or friends are staying here!
Barnes & Noble
Nice store in a remodled old movie theatre with ticket booth still in front. Parking in back but you have to walk thru alley way to get around. Parking on Ventura is tough but you can get lucky sometimes. Teachers sign up for your teacher discount card to get 20% off all items for your classroom. They are great for looking up a book you cant find on their computer system. IF they dont have the book, the usually can order it and will call you when it comes in and they will let you knwo how long it will take. Nice magazine section in back of store. Great childrens section that I used to bring my dauther to and little table and chairs for sitting to read. Front of store has a large selection of sale items and a BATHROOM in front also for customers! I admit I have sometimes ducked in here for a quick bathroom stop if I am on their block.
North Hollywood Auto Repair
Karen is THE person to see here. We have recently found this place through a referral from Brakemasters in Studio City. Turned out to be the BEST. Towed our Dead Rodeo here to see what was up and after two hours was told by Karen that we were betteroff putting it to sleep! She said she could put another two hours into checking problems but would then have to charge. She suggested to just let go and get a new car. Didnt charge for the first two hours and was very honest. Brought used car that wewere thinking of buying to her to check condition, she charged $75 and gave it a clean bill of health and told us it was a good buy. Very trustworthy business.
