Great selection of Asian and mainly Japanese items in a distinct part of Los Angeles along Sawtelle Blvd. in Santa Monica. The Asian pop culture focus is the main emphasis of the variety of items on sale but also there are rare never before seen shirts, music, and books that you will not find anywhere else!!
This is maybe the best music store in the USA. Why? This a huge dynamic store that is constantly buying used cds and records so the stock is changing every day. The scope of genres is immense covering the popular artists all the way to the most obscure genres such as drum and bass and avant garde music. The staff is friendly, helpful, and in addition the store in Hollywood hosts live music almost everyday too. Amoeba should be a tourist landmark in Los Angeles because it is also a completely indpendentstore so in the age of chain stores it is a unique thing.
Quality sushi at a resonable price and in a pleasant and clean ambience. Unbeatable because in addition only soy bean oil is used to preprare fried dishes and they promise the freshest ingredients too. The sushi selection is varied and they have a hlaf price sushi menu too!! There are many incredible items on the menu like the tasty saki, assorted appetizers, and salads/dinner combinations for the non-sushi fans too.
A fabulous and chic cafe/restaurant in one of the hippest neighborhoods, Los Feliz, in Los Angeles. I have been to fine restaurants around the world and for less than $30 you can eat a delicous brunch that includes delectable breakfast/brunch entrees for a very affordable price. In addition the staff was more than courteous and the ambience was wonderful there are not many places you also hear Jacques Bel on the stereo too. Wonderful and European flavored cafe with a wide range of dishes you can't beat the price and the experience ...
