Check out the beautiful people and the euro-trash on weekends and especially Sunday nights and one of the few open air bar/clubs in LA. granted the crowd can be fairly young at times because it attracts the Pepperdine crowd you can still have a good time and listen and dance to some of the coolest music in town. The DJ's are the best.
Once and industry hotspot Lola's has dropped a bit down on the radar screen but you can still get a great martini here. There use to be long lines and a bit of a wait to get in but there are not the crowds from before. I use it mostly as a local hang out as opposed to a destination bar. The food is pretty gppd too. Try the mac and cheese. It's the best in town.
When the very famous animal clinic to the stars was purchased by mega chain VCA we all thought the service and caring staff would starting heading down hill but it's just not the case. This top rate facility still caters to the stars and is a great place to take your dog or cat. They have emergency numbers if you need then and are always attentive to your animals when you bring them in.
As with any video store on the weekends unless you are there early it's hard to find the latest releases. BUT, if you're searching for hard to find titles or looking to spend the weekend watching a marathon of your favorite actor/actress's body of work than Vidiots is the perfect place for you. The well informed staff can help you find those hard to find movies and really know their movie history.
These guys have been cleaning carpets to the stars and studios for years. Located in a funky part of Western Avenue they will clean or repair the simplest of carpets to your most expensive acquisitions. You can either drop the carpet off or they will pick it up and deliver it to you so it's very convenient. They are very professional and know their stuff.
As long as you don't mind fighting the crowds this Apple Store is the place to get your lastest computer equipment. Besides having all the latest cool stuff from Apple they also have classes at various times throughout the week to help you get up to speed on the latest operating system or any of the new or old software suites that have come out in the last couple of years.
Inside this seemingly run down store is a shoe doctor working his craft. He is an old Greek man who have been fixing shoes for years. If you peek back behind the dusty counter you see all kinds of shoe repair equipment for yesteryear. Don't let all this fool you, he does an outstanding job fixing heels to some of your classic shoes or sprucing up some of your prized possessions.
This really is the best Italian restaurant in LA. You know how you can tell? There are lots of Italians "in the know" that are eating there almost every night. Celebrities abound in this very small cozy place. Their specialty is the branzino which is hard to find here in town so try it and LOVE it. I've never had a bad meal here but as always it ain't cheap!
I haven't seen a selection of alcohol like this since I left the south! From grain alcohol to some of the most expensive bottles of wine this warehouse type store is the perfect place to shop for a party or an intimate dinner. It's attached to the newTarget in WeHo which is also convenient. They have almost any accessories you can think of for a party which makes for perfect one-stop shopping.
