usually, coffee shop's primary duty is to make great coffee, but at caffe ladro, it is more than that. not only is the coffee and the lattes served absolutely delicious. the food was endearing. i had one of the three quiches that they serve, and it was mouth-watering. and inside caffe ladro, it felt tranquil like you can relax and read a book. my boyfriend and i sat and read "the stranger" while sipping our coffee and latte and nibbling our quiche, and we had a very beautiful experience!
so far, in seattle, each restaurant that i have eaten at are fairly good. my boyfriend olin begged me to eat at cheesecake factory, but i already heard a lot of bad stuff about this restaurant. regardless, i still went. and i was right, the food was awful. the food was way too greasy and yet its prices tried to be more expensive than it should have been. and the portions are just ridiculous. it can take me 1 week to eat the food, but it would get spoiled anyhow. but i have to admit, the cocktails were served in huge glasses. and so, i would recommend this restaurant to just serve drinks.
this place surely does serve up to its name "von's martini" for it has a numberless count of martinis. and what is really fun in particular is this spinning thing familiar to the price is right spinning thing, and wherever the needle is in a particular time (i think it spins by hour), that is the happy hour special martini. the place may sound as though it is sporty, but rather it is very classy and sophisticated style of sporty. much of the crowd are businessmen.
inside it is almost like a sports bar because there are television sets everywhere showing sportsgames. i, in particular, come to the rock bottom to shoot some pool and and enjoy the beers & cocktails with friends. there is not much of a variety of cocktails, but there is a variety of beers. and the food, is not very great. just so-so. the french fries were extremely oily. ewww. regardless, i come by this place because of the cheap prices it has on the booze.
yes, this restaurant lies next to the fremont bridge, so while eating on the patio, you can watch the peaceful boats pass by. that is what i would consider an enjoyable, peaceful evening. even just sitting at the bar, one can amuse yourself by chatter with the regulars or the bartender. and the bar has my favorite riesling from the st. michelle chateau. absolutely delicious. the food, the salmon in particular, is incredible.
a feel of mexico sets in as you enter through the doors of this restaurant. it feels like i am eating in cancun. the food, however, is not ultimately authentic. however, i would consider the food edible and tasty in its ownself. i think the mexican food is more mixed into the typical american flavors. regardless, as said, the food is still good.
is what i recall of this romantic setted restaurant. the complimentary breads came with this incredible tasting hummus. and the soup was nice and thick, my mouth was devoured. but still, the main entree, made my heart pound. although i was already filled with the first entrees, i just could not resist. and of course, my boyfriend and i had to order dessert. we had the pear dessert, and it was just mouth-watering. i would have to say, that my boyfriend made an excellent choice in choosing this place to have dinner for valentine's day.
strangely, this bar is named the chapel. but when i think about it, i can understand why. entering in makes you feel like you are about to get married. and you really are. with the lovely drinks, of course. inside it is quite modernised with a stairway that leads to the comfort of plush couches. i remember, my first time at this bar, my boyfriend took me as soon as i arrived into seattle. and i was astounded. i could not believe that such a bar named "the chapel" would have such tasteful architecture. having a drink at this place makes me feel so relaxed because of its beauty and style.
the zig-zag is hidden at pike's place market. one must walk through many stairs, but, it is worth the peak. the drinks and cocktails are absolutely delicious. there is even dom perignon on the menu. such a vast amount of drinks, how can one resist the night-time pleasures of this place. and the food is outstanding. even just a dish of grilled cheese sandwich is just so irresistable. i would have to say that the zig zag is my absolute favorite spot to be.
uh-huh. we'll take it slow. and let it flow. that's where we want to eat some car-ib-bean...oh-wow-wow. i must say that this little restaurant has the best caribbean food that i have ever tasted. even from the simple beans and basmati rice, yum-yum. the seasonings in this simple dish makes me think of the wonderful sunsets of the caribbean. and even for those of you that are vegetarian, this restaurant has the tofu con gusto (i think that was the dish name), and it is absolutely delicious. there are mainly lots of extremely tasteful sandwiches that just absorb from your lips to your teeth to your tongue.
