i had my nails done at this salon twice. the first time, was just a plain manicure and pedicure, which was done okay. just very slow. and the manicurist/pedicurist did not speak to me. it was as though i was a robot. the second time i came in, i specifically had shown how i wanted to the stones to be placed on my fingernails. yes, i know, this place is not known to have the service of 3-d art on nails, but i was actually teaching her step-by-step. i must give the manicurist credit for trying, but gosh, she definately cannot be going to nail conventions.
when my boyfriend and i walked by this store, i just had to step into the store. just so eye-catching like a star flying. the dresses are absolutely drop dead gorgeous. and you can even get your dress custom made. these dresses would be great for a bride (mainly for brides and bridesmaids), but for a girl like me, you can actually get a dress designed for the academy awards or the global awards. and there was this one dress that just sparkled with bunches of jewels. it was just breathtaking!
this store, indeed, has the most clogs i have ever seen. there are just tons around you. clogs, of course, as we both know, do not come in a whole big variety. just simple plain shoes for wintertime. and so, the good thing about this particular clog store, is that it has plenty of sizes for each clog. you can always walk in and find your size easily. you can even by lots of the same size if you wanted to.
yes, the shoes at edie's are the best shoes ever. so, stylish. i almost feel like i am back in tokyo, japan shopping for shoes again. a lot of the styles that are at this shoe store is very retro and futuristic that just shots out for a glimpse and makes you want to just wear these irrisistable shoes. there is even lacoste shoes! bring in the alligator. and as for the men's shoes, oh, they are hot hot hot. my boyfriend absolutely loves shopping for shoes at this place. he is the one who referred me to this shoestore, and i am ever so glad for that because edie's is just.....ohhhhh...the best!!!!
this little boutique store has plentiful of styles of shoes, but not exactly classy or chic. rather, just very plain and flowery shoes. so, i would recommend this little shoe store for those of you that do not like to be too flashy, but rather just casual.
that is what this theatre reminds me, of the flashy 1920's. i think that this playhouse is actually built in the 1920's. the plays that are run here are very old, which i like. it makes me feel like i am living back in the good 'ol days, where plays were more simple. ooo. however, there is some technological advances at this playhouse. but it still does not drain the feeling of being back in the past.
gameworks, i expected, is supposed to be a bunch of fun with lots of arcade games and what not. however, this gameworks, majority of the games i wanted to play were out of order. and the games that were working, were just not invigorating to my energetic senses. there was this one game, the horse game, and all you do is jump up and down---not exciting. and this other game was a virtual fight, but you had to do un-martial arts moves that did not make sense, thus, this game sucked. i can go on and on about the games, but i think you all know what i am talking about.
if you need a costume, then the red light vintage clothing has bunches of costumes or even clothing that you can make into costumes. there are a lot of selections of very unique artsy pieces. a lot of them fit more for the larger build person. so, not many pieces fit a petite girl like myself, unfortunately. but i still like savaging through the store momentarily to check out what's new.
each piece of clothing pretends that it is a certain big brand name like prada, but it is totally fake. regardless, i still looked through each piece of clothing to see whether or not it is worth the price or not. i must admit, there were a couple of clothing that were quite stylish, yet, i know that i can definately have made these pieces myself and sewed in a brandname as well. anyhow, the prices usually range under $70, that i have seen. but some of the clothes are not worth nearly 50% of the price tagged.
yes, one huge floor of women's thrift clothing. the second floor consists of the furniture type of stuff. the third floor is the men's thrift clothing. i saw soooo many shoes for women, it was unbelievable. some of them were actually pretty clean. not too old. and there were so many interesting dresses. sooo, lovely.
