This is a good store if you are looking for either quality home furnishings material or regular designer fabric. They are a little higher priced than the other local fabric stores, but they also cater more to the home decorators. It is the only local place to find material by some top name designers and companies.
This place is just absolutely fabulous! It presents cartoon art and it's history in a very laid back setting. We're talking everything from the earliest printed cartoons, underground comics, editorial cartoons to television animation. Where else can you pull up a patch of carpet or plop down in a bean bag chair and watch old intro and end credits of cartoons on an old console television set? Or even see commercials of the Flintstones (Fred, Wilma and Barney) advertising a certain brand of cigarettes? The museum is closed on Mondays and certain holidays, but the first Tuesday of every month is pay what you wish day!
This is one of the largest thrift shops in Fremont. It does have a frequent buyer program, which allows you after receiving a set number of stamps on your card, to receive a discount on your next purchase. If you sign up for their mailing list, you will also receive discount coupons in the mail. Like all thrift shops, the merchandise varies from day to day. It's been a good source for books, bar stools and costuming for the local high school down the block.
This bowling alley has been around for awhile and has a great family environment. The customer service of the personnel is wonderful. The specials are good and their leagues are fun also. This bowling alley has even taken up the slack from where the 5 local high schools do not have bowling teams, and offers a city high school challenge league. Other amenities include the snack bar and game room. You can also purchase lottery tickets here.
The staff here is very friendly and professional. The prices are very reasonable and they also honor competitor's coupons. The staff has worked together for quite some time and make you feel like you are a part of the family. Even when my family of 3hits them all at the same time, they never seem to mind.
This library is based in a separate building of the city hall complex in Union City. The volume of materials available for loan is not as much as some of the other libraries in the county system. This library makes up for what it lacks in volume by environment. It sits on a large duck pond full of ducks, geese and squirrels. It has an outside deck as well. There are terminals available for internet use and database research.
This two story public library features private study rooms and a wonderful juvenile (kid's) library. There are numerous terminals for both internet access and database research. The volume of videos, cds and dvds available for loan is quite substantial. Best of all, the library features a schedule of various local guest speakers and presentations.
This is a small and quaint shop. It is easy to trade or sell back books here. What sets this one apart from other used bookstores, is that they have a monthly meeting of loyal Harry Potter readers -- where they can discuss aspects of the books and movies. All ages are welcome too.
This is a used book store that also sells magazines and videos. The variety and selections are great and vary constantly. Trading with them is quite easy and their customer service is awesome too. If you are looking for that hard to find book locally, this is the place to go.
