The burritos here are shockingly good despite the seeming simplicity of the ingredients and the dirt cheap prices. The secret seems to be the way they steam the cheese onto the tortilla. It allows the cheese to be evenly distributed along the length of the burrito and helps the whole thing stick together. I recommend the super bean and cheese burrito, and don't forget to add guacamole and sour cream.
Flowerland is a really nice nursery. It's not very big, but they do have a nice selection of plants, both houseplants and outdoor plants, plus accessories. The service is always friendly and helpful, and you will be entertained (or baffled) by whatever weird statement they have up on their sign out front. My only complaint is that one time recently when I tried to go there, they weren't open even though it was during their normal hours (and there was no sign explaining why). So I'd recommend calling before you go, if you're making a special trip.
This is one of my favorite stores anywhere. It's not just a pharmacy; it's a mini-department store with food (including produce, mostly organic), wine, gifts, cosmetics, books, and a whole lot of other interesting stuff. The pharmacy specializes in herbs and alternative remedies, but you can find all the name-brand OTC drugs there, too. There is a meeting room where they host free seminars and classes almost every night. They also offer video rentals (with a decent selection) for $1 a day! This is a very cool store, worth checking out regardless of whether you need to go to a pharmacy.
This is a really nice little store that you might miss unless you were looking for it. It's hard to believe that a whole store fits in this space, but it does (barely). It's a little crowded when there are a few people there, but often you can go in andhave the place to yourself, and you will get friendly, personal service. There's a lot of neat stuff crammed onto these shelves (mostly herbal supplements and remedies), and the prices are reasonable.
I will always go out of my way to get my photos developed at Albany Photo. The pictures always come out perfect, and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The rates are reasonable, and the photos always come back fast and on time. I hope that more people will patronize this photo lab, because there could come a time when little places like this are pushed out of the business by photo labs at big drug stores who do a cheap and crummy job.
KNA offers very friendly customer service and an extensive range of equipment for copying, faxing, printing, etc. This is a family-owned business, and it shows. The rates are comparable to big chains like Kinko's, and the copiers are just as new and well-maintained, only you also get the benefit of personal, knowledgeable attention from the proprietor. Highly recommended.
