Pat's on the ave is the only personally owned and operated coffee shop on Queen Anne avenue. He works very hard and is wonderful with his customers. He makes awesome coffee and even has ice cream and pastries just like corporate coffee shops down the street.
The first time I went in to Costas Opa, I was not impressed. I figured out the problem when I gave them a second chance. I ordered the very authentic Greek food that I am not used to. When I ordered the second time, I asked for something that was Greek but not to authentic. The answer was the skewers on a pita with Tsatsiki sauce. I don't know if that's how you spell it, but it's cucumber sauce and it's tasty.
My first time at the five spot on Queen Anne was just a few weeks ago despite the fact that I have lived here for over two years. I finally made it in and am happy I did. I ordered some fabulous food and it reminded me of my Mom's home cookin'.
I needed a place to study for about an hour and figured I would stop in for some mexican food as I was driving by. I thought for sure I would have some time to study while I waited. I ordered and my food came in about five minutes. I couldn't believe it. When I was done, I was able to study, drink my soda and let my food settle before and was on the go again.
All I wanted for my birthday was to go out to dinner. I ordered the Seafood Fettuccini. I love seafood and I love Fettuccini. How could I go wrong? O'h, it smelled like bad fish and I couldn't even eat a second bite. I pushed it away and expected the waiter to ask me what the problem was. He never asked and took my full plate away without a word. Not cool!
My boyfriend and I always joke about how when we go to the Olive Garden, we're supposedly family. Ha, ha. You've seen the add right. The Olive Garden is fresh and tasty and it's not too authentic. The Northgate Olive Garden has plenty of parking accross the street at the mall. I wouldn't suggest parking in the parking garage, you can get lost easily.
I friend was to take me out for lunch and mentioned Duke's. I have never even heard of it. We got a table immediately and it was packed (even in the lunch hour). I ordered fish and chips and expected the norm. It was so tasty that I overstuffed myself. The perfect lunch and right on the water. What a nice way to spend your lunch hour.
O'h I love fast food that isn't terrible for you. Yasuko's is fast! They have the greatest Chicken Teriyaki and it won't cost you $7.00. I can't stand to pay too much for chicken and rice. The portions are huge and they make your place right in front of you. Try it, it's wonderful!
I never liked Thai food until I came to Thai Siam. They have the best Phad Thai noodles. If you order a side of peanut sauce, you can put it on the noodes and it's fantastic. You should try the mongolian beef in the oyster sauce. Yuuummmyyy!
This is my favorite restauraunt on the planet. I can always find something amazing on the menu. The fish is great (especially the stuffed halibut or mahi). The steak is fantastic and the service is excellent. They even know when we walk in the door that we want to color. They get crayons and coloring pages for us immediately.
