Yaffe, Ruden & Associates
Yaffe, ruden & Associates are a spectacular group of caring doctors who are very knowledgable and up-to-date! The waiting area is very bright and airy and is such a nice touch when you're feeling miserable. They have a MAC computer set up for your surfing enjoyment while you wait and it passes the time very quickly! They always require that you have your insurance card available, but don't take it personal, it's for your benefit! Located on the NE side of 65th street in the middle of the block with a black gate, lobby is down stairs
PROS: will see you the same day
CONS: can be hard to find the first visit

In Town Pediatrics
Doctor Gazzola is just fantastic!! I am a first time mom and her guidance has been spot on from day one! She is affiliated with Greenwich Hospital and is the most accessible doctor I know. She is very straight forward, honest, fluent in English, Spanish, Greman, Italian, Swiss, French, and Portugese! Office is open M-F 9A-5P, Evenings and weekends by appointment only - that means the office is open SEVEN days!
PROS: open 7 days, nights/Sat/Sun by appt
CONS: She doesn't treat adults 21+
Maritime Aquarium's IMAX Theater
This is well worth the trip if you are in the North-East! It is the perfect size for kids and adults, LOL! They have 3 daily Sea Lion feedings, large open walkways to accomodate strollers and families. A lovely cafe and gift shop and lots of hands-on exploring type things. We took our 10 month old and she loved the shark tank and jelly fish. They have a new parking facility that is across the street from the Aquarium, and tons of new and upcoming restaurants in the area.
PROS: Kid friendly, manageable size
CONS: can get expensive
Preschoolians
I can not say enough good things about Preeschoolians shoes! The quality is fantastic, the Accufit design is wonderful! I found the website to be chock full of information about baby/toddler feet. The styles are very chic! The customer service is astounding! they trust their customers and are really helpful in terms of making the internet ordering process a smooth transaction. The shop is really fun to go to as well. My daughter really enjoyed trying on her shoes and playing with the toys that they had out. Some may find these shoes to be a bit on the expensive side, but if you're going to buys shoes for your child, you should buy the best. Jeff, the CEO is very accessible and can be reached for just about anything, LOL! They do custom colors at no extra charge, but it does take a few days.
PROS: Excellent service/product
CONS: only 1 shop in CT
Aberdeen Seafood & Dim Sum
YUMMY! Aberdeen is the most authentic Chinese food in Westchester that I've found outside of Chinatown in NYC. Fantastic service! The managers aren't afraid to get into helping out the servers and/or bussing tables!
Tom, Jackie and Samantha are just a few names to go with the friendly faces at Aberdeen!
PROS: Excellent authentic Chinese food
CONS: can get crowded/run out of entrees
Lou's Cafe Inc
Lou's is a fantastic little restaurant tucked away in Midtown. Pastas, salads, sandwiches, are all excellent. They do a lovely brunch on the weekends, as well.
PROS: Great food/ service
CONS: closes @ 8pm
Ripplu
Where do I begin? A lot of women are wearing the wrong bra size - period. I went to Victoria Secret to get sized and the result was 32B. I went to Ripplu a week later for the heck of it, and they sized me to a 32D! Go gap in the cup either! Needless to say, they have what I can describe as a 3 step bra program. It really did change the shape of my breasts - no surgery! Akimi (AH-KEE-me) and Shiho (SHEE-ho) are fantastic! It was a bit weird at first to be fitted, but they are super professional and friendly, LOL! Free alterations on the bras you buy there.
PROS: Great service and open on Saturdays.
CONS: Expensive / only located in NYC midtown.
Yaffa Cafe
I can't figure out how this plays stays in business. I have been sorely disappointed by the food, the pricing was too much for what is offered. Service is non-existent! It's as if you're bothering them to do their jobs!!! Nothing infuriates me more than ppl who don't care about their jobs. I was a waitress/server before and this was just BAD. Compared to McDonalds, this place is a DIVE.
PROS: matchbook condoms
CONS: poor service / food
Miller?s Toy Store
We 100% love Millers because they treat us very well - no matter how big or small our purchase. No matter how we are dressed, we are respected and thouroughly helped. We had our first baby last year and Ann from Millers helped us out with our crib (they delivered it and set it up), stroller frame for car seat (they built it there), and Kinderzeat high chair purchases.
Millers pricing is comprable to other stores, but the selection is unique.
PROS: Old fashioned service but not pushy.
CONS: selection is not as commercial as babies r us or toys r us.
