In the late 90's this store was completely different. Smaller and different direction from what I remember. Since then the storehas bloomed into a very large and beautiful store with awesome employees and customers(if I say so myself). The store has the usuals..plus pharmacy, deli section, Starbucks, Wells Fargo bank, etc. Whew..yes this is a large place. At the same time it doesnt have that big/corporate store feel. It must be the location, the people, and atmosphere.
This place is hit or miss when it comes to customer service satisfaction. More than half the time I have a hard time finding help. Other times the store doesn't have what I need. The prices are a bit overpriced and the employees are like slacker car salesmen.
With that..they do have a good drum and keyboard room/ section(still overpriced in my book).
I have resorted to going to other music stores and I reccommend others to do so as well.
I love this place. Firstly, it's a new(2004)theatre that is in the Capitol Hill area. They mainly cover the indie, classics, documentaries, and foreign films. The theatre itself is quite small. Maybe 50 seats all together. It's like hanging at a friends livingroom...minus the talking, of course. The choices of films are dead on great in my book. I am very honoured to have this place so near to me. I hope it lasts for a very long time.
This place is as odd on the outside as the inside. Quite colorful and slightly creepy..in a clown creepy way. The store has all the goodies and odd gifts and whatnot. They actually sell those candy ciggarettes(remember those). The main attraction is the massive supply of costumes. I was quite impressed. The employees are cool and weird at the same time. I love this place! It's next door an alcohol store as well.
All in all...this place feels so wrong that its actually right!!
These clothes are sexy, comfortable, and fitting. The store is in the University area which seems out of place. Never the less, Seattle is lucky to have a store like this around. The ads are absolutely hot by the way. I have a few shirts that I have bought online(before the store) and still love them because they fit well and built strong. The clothes are sweatshop free and have no annoying name brands visible.
Low profile and hot!!
I dont know why this place has the popularity is has at this time. Someone or another is talking about that "cool" t-shirt at the Hot Topic. They do cover all the cool accessories for that special look you going for. They have the hipster belts and shoes, punk t-shirts and boots, etc.
I'm not much into the instant look thing but people are digging it, never the less. I personally think the prices are too much as well.
This is the place to go for specialty magazines. The choices are huge and slightly overwhelming. That's a good thing in my book. They cover all of the usual interests(music, home, style, food, lifestyles, hollywood, etc.). There is also a nice cafe section attached to the store. The coffee and espresso are quite good in quality. There are also several seating sections and a TV(news) for your enjoyment.I really dig this place. The employees are super nice as well.
The store is filled with up to date and vintage clothing. I really dig the jeans and the large selection of them. The store environment is very hipster-ish with loud music and bored looking employees. The clothing styles are very cool and fairly priced. During the summertime they usually have great deals on clothes outside of the store and on a few racks. You got to check this place out sometime.
This isnt the best place for shoes if you're looking for fancy name brands but they do have all types of shoes for all types of folks. To be honest I usually can't find a pair of acceptable shoes. But having kids makes a huge difference. When kids are at that special age where name brands arent an issue, this place rules. Tons of cute children's shoes to choose from. I do notice the female section is always occupied. All in all, this place supplies ok shoes for cheap. That is a great deal to me!
I have only had positive experiences with this book store. There are tons of books to choose from, even for the picky type. The employees are very cool and helpful. I really dig the atmosphere and cleanliness of the store. You have to check this place out if you're ever curious or looking for a book. Sometimes they also host book signings for popular authors and whatnot. I say "please go". You won't be disappointed by any means.
