The Twilight is one of my favorite dive bars.
Firstly, the location is downright creepy. One could easily drive by the bar without realizing its quite a popular hangout for hipsters and rockers alike. Dont mind the seedy people outside of the bar, they are harmless. Most are heading or leaving Dino's(bar next door) anyways.
The bartenders rule and the drinks are strong and cheap!
If so, go ahead and check this place out. Lots of pretentious hipsters and cheap drinks. To me, this can make for a fun evening. It;s kind of like walking through a bad part of town. If you dont bother the people, they dont bother you. Mind your own business and partake in the loud environment. Just make sure you have your dark clothes and hipster belt on, or you may get the evil eye all night.
Lots of killer records to choose from. The the first and most important part. They seem to cover many genres of music so that one isnt limited. They also sell DJ related stuff as well(record players, needles, headphones, etc.)
The store is located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. So that means you're near restaurants, music stores, bars, clothing shops, etc.
PROS: location, dj support
CONS: none yet
Yes, this place is set right in downtown Seattle. So that means you are near everything for your shopping pleasures.
You also have the option of taking the monorail from the Spaceneedle in the Queen Anne area to the Westlake Center. How cool is that? There are all of you usual mall type places within Westlake Center. There is also a really good food court with lots of choices that ranges from hot dogs toThai food and so on.
PROS: location, atmosphere
This will soon become another Seattle attraction because of its outlandish structure. I believe this buildings creator is also the EMP(another strange structure near the Space Needle).
Inside, the space is huge and well lighted. This is the ultimate library experience. You'll have to see so for yourself.
You'll soon enjoy all the other reasons why we love librarys. Many areas to read in, desks, computers, etc.
PROS: beautiful structure(inside & out), well lighted, huge
If you haven't been here and like Pho, look no further. If you're a Pho novice, you'll instantly be hook on theses lovely, hot, comforting, healthy soups. You'll soon want to become a Pho professional. Of course that'll mean you'll have to visit it quite often. Careful though, lunch time gets quite busy.
Seriously, the broth is absolutely the best I have tasted(other places in the US and Vietnam). They are consistent and keep things basic. Pho Tai, Chin, or Ga. It's also cheap cheap cheap!!! If you're feeling under the weather or recovering from a hellacious hangover, this is the place to go.
Go go go!!!!
PROS: Basic, best Pho in the world, kind employees
CONS: busy at lunch time
I do feel that the prices are too much for my budget..generally speaking. At the same time, I feel the choices of clothing are not my style and a bit tacky. I think this store appeals to the middle upper class folks who want to look richer than they really are. Besides that, the clothes are made well, which balances the whole expensive factor.
This shouldn't take away the fact that this is a very popular store for reasons I may not understand. The customer serivce is quite well and they do throw a great parade.
PROS: quality, customer serive
CONS: tacky clothes, overpriced
I'm stuck inbetween liking and hating Bartell's.
First, I'll say that I am impressed with their pharmacy department. The staff is nice and well informed. This is my place to go for prescriptions. The hygiene section is good. I can also say that I do like the hair product section as well.
Then there is the other sections of the store(car, toys, art, music, bathroom accessories, etc.) that I find very basic and worthless.
Like I said, I am in the middle. I go to Bartells mainly for prescriptons.
PROS: pharmacy department, nice employees, hygiene departments
CONS: everything else..
I think this is the only place I go to get costume accessories and ideas. The large space allows for many choices. I have always been able to grab a few things for the Halloween party. The employees are always helpful. There are also a section for material/clothing, makeup, kiddie costumes, adult material costumes, masks, etc.
If you live fairly close I would reccommend this as the place for costume stuff. There is also another section of the store that is unrelated to costumes, but I have the faintest idea what it is. Let me know sometime.
PROS: large space=large selection, employees
I finally went to a Wal Mart last Christmas. My goodness, it was a terrible experience. Overcrowded, too far away, bland products, and clueless employees. This was a nightmare! I had to drive 15 miles to get here. So I had to fight it through. I was fortunate to receive a Wal Mart gift card. So I made a big point to spend the whole amount and never come back. Everyone had zombie/confused faces. I am sure I was one of them as well. What it came down to is that I couldn't find uniqe gifts for friends and family. I can, however, find toothpaste, lame socks, a top 40 cd, and bird food in the same place. I'll have no part of blanding my choices because I am too lazy to look elsewhere. I will never go back!
PROS: everything store
CONS: people, location, selection
