They change your oil without an appointment. They do a decent job, not that it's a hard thing to do. The price is reasonable. Not the cheapest, but the service is pretty good.
The only thing I don't like is that they always try and sell you something extra, when all I want or need is an oil change.
PROS: Quick, inexpensive and convenient
If you are having a party , or a wedding, or any type of event check them out first! Aisles and Ailes of party supplies for every theme or type of event you can dream of. Prices seem as good or better than other party stores, but the selection is much better. They also handle rentals of party equiptment.
Oh, they have costumes too! Lots and lots of them for sale or rent.
PROS: Selection, Price, FUN
Since the closing of their only competetor on S whidbey, Lincoln is the only place to get your PC repaired. And they know it. Service is slow and over priced. If your stuck though, I guess you have no choice.
Their custom built systems are mediocre and over priced. If you live on whidbey, it might be worth the ferry ride to go elswhere.
PROS: On S. Whidbey
CONS: Price, Service
AP Mechanical and Mr. Art Pratt have the kind of old fashioned service thats hard to find these days. Mr. Pratt is experienced and professional, and he's a darn nice guy too! He'll go out of his way to make sure you are a happy customer too!
PROS: Service, Quality, Experience
The selection at Big Lots tends to be hit or miss, but it's a good place to search for bargains. If you are looking for something particular though, it seems like they never have it.
They do always have a good selection of seasonal merchandise (Christmas Decorations, Easter Baskets, Garden things, etc.) as well as household items like towels and kitchen items. Some items are not of the best quality, but on the other hand they sometimes have closeout bargains on name brands that are fine.
You can find good bargains in the grocery section on staples like cereal and canned goods too, but again it seems kind of hit or miss.
PROS: Inexpensive, fun to shop
A little piece of France right in the middle of Pike Place! Baked goods and pastries are phenomanal. Try the sandwiches on fresh backed baguette with delicious choices like Pate or Brie cheese.
If you like coffee - this is the BEST! The espresso drinks are by far the best I've had anywhere ever. Try a cafe au lait. It's tres magnifique!
A little bit busy on weekends, it's a small little place, so you might have to wade through the crowd a little.
Trader Joes is a really fun place to shop for unique and specialty grocery items. This isn't the type of store most people could do all thier grocery shopping in, but if you are looking for some new things to try check it out!
Price wise T.J.s is pretty fair. You can get some terrific bargains on thier private label versions of popular high end brands. (For instance, Trader Joes Mac & Cheese is just like Annies all Natural Brand)
Also get great bargains on wines and special offerings.
If your into health foods, or organic foods, they have lots of that too!
PROS: Fun, Unique Selection, Bargains
I met Clarence at an open house and he was very attentive and friendly. He offered us a lot of advice and suggestions. An older gentlemen, he seems to have a lot of experience, and he is willing to take his time to talk to you , explain things fully, but not rush you or try to use high pressure sales tactics.
He's really knowlegeable about South King and North Pierce county areas, and willing to work with folks looking for less expensive homes.
PROS: friendly, knowledgable
A good basic salon. They probably don't do the most cutting edge high fashion hairdos as some of the fancier places, but they do a great job on the regular cuts, colors and perms that most people get. Not as expensive either.
They seem to do great with the older clients who come and get their hair done every week too!
They did a great job for me, and also for my 80 yr old grandma who was visiting, so that demonstrates their range!
PROS: Service, Price
Clean, well lit, good secelction of items. great produce. A real florist. Excellent Bakery.
Prices are fair, no special membership card for sales.
Nice take out cafe, including chinese. Starbucks in the store.
Great customer service. We had purchased a book that rang up wrong. It was marked 7.49 and rand up 9.99. The manager gave us the whole 9.99 back. Apparently they stand behind their gaurantee that if an item rings up wrong it is free. Most stores limit the dollar amount to the cost of an average grocery item.
PROS: Selection, Service, Price, Atmossphere
