If you need a new stereo, TV , home theatre, or anything check these guys out. There are strores all over the norhtwest. The prices may be slightly higher than some of the big box stores, but the quality of the merchandise is also much better - no need to worry about buying junk from Magnolia. THe salesmen are actually sales people - not clerks. They know what they are talking about and are helpful and attentive. On the other hand they won't follow you around the store and pester you when you say you're just looking.
Also the service is beyond excellent. If ANYTHING goes wrong they will make it right. That in itself is worth paying a little more for.
PROS: Service, Quality, High End Selection
A great internet service providor with lots of service options for both home users and businesses. Wonderful customer service and tech support. They are helpful, knowledgable and your call won't be forwarded to some foriegn country with thick accents.
Agents actually call you back when they say they will.
MTM Mortgage has experienced loan officers who are willing to go the extra mile to get you a great deal. These guys are dedicated. Even for more complicated loans, or when things don't go right, they work that much harder to make it work.
Dedicated, knowledgable staff, excellent customer service and commitment to their customers, and the community.
MTM really seems to treat each client as a person, and not just another commision passing through.
(although located in Issaquah, the local numer is not listed. The above phone number is actually 877-922-9707)
PROS: Dedication, Customer Service
Dr. Kim is a great dentist. He is very good at what he does, as well as being extemely kind. He goes out of his way to help his patients. He has fair prices and has been known to work out payment arraingments for those without insurance coverage.
His office is not fancy, or state of the art like some other dentists. You won't be watching TV on a flat panel monitor overhead while you get your work done. But you will also be treated like a real human and a patient instead of a number, and you won't pay extra for fancy office space.
Another bonus for some - the staff speak Korean and I think spanish as well.
PROS: Service, Treatment, Cost
If you are looking for a new computer or need to get your current one fixed, give these guys a call. They custom build systems as well.
The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Look for Joe - he's the little guy behind the counter. He will go out of his way to help you in any way.
Great prices, excellent service, wide selection, in a clean well lit store!
PROS: Price, Service, Selection.
CONS: Location. (Very busy part of 99)
We lived at On the Green for just about a year.
There are several good points about this complex. Fist of all the rents are quite affordable. There are many floor plans to choose from, and all of them are quite large in comparason to most apartments. They include woodburning fireplaces, which really cut down on utility bills (although I did find that only the artificial type logs seemed to work well). The grounds are nicely landscaped. There are a few play areas, and outdoor and indoor pool. The so called gym is pretty weak though.
This is a great place for families. There are tons of kids around, and unlike some places we have lived, the staff is very welcoming of children. They even put on special events for the kids every so often. Located in the superb Mukilteo school district, there are two elementary schools, a Jr high and High school all within walking distance, as well as the very lovely Mukilteo Public Library. Just a few minutes off the 'Speedway', you are less than 10 minutes from Boeing and the Whidbey Island Ferry.
Now for the cons:
The staff is young and inexperienced. Often they seem not to know what they can do to help you, or perhaps they are not given the authority to do so by higher powers. In any case it can be frustrating. Maintanance issues seem to be addressed slowly. You have to really keep on them. Also, the low rents sometimes seem to attract small number of a certain type of neighbor I'd rather not have (although at the time we moved out they seemed to be making an effort to remedy that situation). There were some things stolen out of cars occasionally.
Overall it is a pretty nice place to live if you have a family. The large apartments, kid friendly environment and excellent schools make the downsides worth it.
A word of advice. Choose your building carefully. The rent is based on desirability of the location as well as floorplan. The cheaper units tend to be the ones with loud neighbors and in high traffic areas.
PROS: Price, School District, Size of Units, Family Friendly
Gameworks in downtown Seattle is fun for all ages. There are a wide variety of games and amusments to suit every taste. I highly suggest the ballon popping game ride!
While overall the atmosphere is very family friendly, evenings - especially on weekends are more geered towards adults. Drinks are served in the restauraunt. Might be a great spot for a low key date even!
In any case - kids of all ages will have a great time!
CONS: Parking downtown.
A real old fashioned milk man!
Smith Brothers Farms delivery men are independant operators, with routes all over the area, from Kent to Whidbey Island.
The milk and dairy products are sold directly to the milkman from the farms the morning of your delivery - no middle man. I have found this makes a big difference in the level of freshness. Also, all Smith Brothers products are free of rBst and other hormones. At less than $2 per half gallon that is actually cheaper than buying hormone free milk in the supermarket.
They also carry eggs, yougurt, butter, cheese and all the other dairy items you might expect, plus convenience items like super yummy cookie doughs, Tully's coffee and even laundry soap!
They leave you a special insulated container for your porch or front step, so you don't even have to be home when they deliver. I can tell you from experience items will stay ice box cold all day - even in the summer.
Give these guys a try! I can promise you won't be dissapointed!
PROS: Quality, Convienience, Price
Food Emporium in S. Everett has an upscale, but friendly and old fashioned too.
The prices are a little higher than in your average grocery store, but it's well worth it!
The selection of fresh produce and specialty items is second to none. Some highlights: a wide variety of fresh produce, organinc and health food items, the areas best selection of british imports as well as other ethnic imports, a fisrt class deli including excellent panini style sandwiches, as well as an in store bakery and chocolate shop that rivals the most upscale boutique bakery.
The staff is courteous and friendly. Unlike many stores these days, you can almost always find staff on the floor willing to assist you.
There are always enough check out lanes open, with baggers who bring your bags out to your car for you and even load them into your trunk! That's the kind of old fashioned service you just don't get anymore!
PROS: Service, Quality, Specialty Selection, Union
CONS: High Price
