Lost Mountain Xing
This bank has no drive through window nor any outside ATM machine. This poses a major inconvenience for me and because this I no longer bank here. They don't even keep the doors open to the machines that reside outside of the caged area (main office). The Hiram branch is much better!
PROS:
CONS: No outside ATM or Drive Through
Panera Bread
I almost gave this place 3 stars because they do have decent pastries but the rest of the food on the menu is not worth the price. I recently paid almost $8 for the worst tuna salad sandwich I've ever had. Unfortunately, almost everything on the menu is way too overpriced.
Gamestop
This is a great place to pickup PC and console video games at reasonable prices. Only drawback is that the staff at times are not always informed on the latest gaming info.
Avis Rent A Car Marietta (north)
I highly recommend this place if you need to rent a car. Not only are the rates cheap (usually 25 or less a day) but the staff is very friendly and the cars and always impeccably clean.
Thrifty Car Rental
First time I rented from them they did not have my reservation in the computer even though I had a print out of my confirmation. After a 40 minute ordeal I was given a larger car than I had initially reserved and the thing was filthy - I had to clean old french fries off the seats!
Next time they put me in a car that was twice the size I reserved and guzzeld gas because they overbooked the economy cars.
Third go around I reserved a car for Saturday to be picked up at 5:30 pm. Went to pick it up the car and was told that because they are inside of a Walmart and close on Sundays at 4pm that I would have to return the car by 3:30. When I told them that would be a 22hr rental and I paid for 24 hrs I was told it did not matter. I had to put up an unnecessary fight with manager to allow them to let me drop the keys through the door.
PROS:
CONS: Rude employees, Never any cars available even with reservation - HORRID
Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Hiram, GA
Stayed here three weeks ago and it was one of the nicest cheap hotels (65$) I've stayed in. Tons of room, clean sheets, excellent housekeeping, indoor pool, free continental breakfast, and they even allow pets. I also enjoyed using their fitness room.
The Avenue West Cobb
This is a great "open air mall" (ie: strip mall) with a great variety of stores. They also have plenty of resturaunts, public restrooms, and a Starbucks (inside Barnes & Nobles). Currently the stores include:
American Eagle, Ann Taylor Loft, Aspen's Signature Steaks/Theo's Brother's Bakery, Aveda Lifestyle Salon, Barnes & Noble, Bombay, Chico's, Cold Stone Creamery, Coldwater Creek, Jos. A. Bank, Kay Jewelers, Linens 'N Things, Liz Claiborne Shoes, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Select Comfort, Simply Supper (Fall '05), Stride Rite, Sunglass Hut, Swoozie's, Talbots, Ted's Montana Grill, White House/Black Market, Sharper Image
Dallas Laundry & Cleaners
I have taken numerous pieces of clothing here and always had satisfactory results. Last time I had a suit cleaned and they were able to get out a stain that had been there for years. Doesn't get any better than that!
Cobbler's Bench
Recently dropped off a pair of shoes which needed sole work. My experience was great - the "shoe doctor" was incredibly friendly and better yet he is dirt cheap!
Ingles Market
Ingles is the only place I shop for meat, poultry, etc. for my family. The butchers are always so pleasant and helpful (willing to cut anything I want-the way I want). Best part is the quality of their cuts and the amazingly low prices.
