This museum is fun! The adulterated face of the Mona Lisa will smile at you through the blue and yellow tubing! the museum offers a small exhibition of classic neon signs, bizarre kinetic art and much more.
This is such a nice museum dedicated to the native American. The museum is the oldest in LA. There are Native American artifacts from all over North America, with exhibits of pre-columbian pottery and a full sized plains indian cheyenne teepee. Its travelling exhibitions, educational programs and theatrical events ahve made this museum an international center for indigenous american cultures. I had so much fun and learned so much when I was there, it will be a great deal of fun with your kids too.
This is not an essential stop but it is worth the visit if you have any affection for the grand old concrete structure. With a collection of musical instruments from around the world the museum also features recordings of notable symphonic moments in the Bowl's history.
Three floor museum homage to the automobile. There are special exhibits of movie stars'cars, customized low-riders, and vintage footage of land speed record attempts in the desert.
Very beautiful museum with a huge collection of art which is considered to be among the best in the world! The Japanese pavillion is quite beautiful. Check for exhibistions at www.lacma.org. Take a map at the entrance, the museum is quite big and needs more visits.
If you are into politics this can be fun for you. The library features gifts from world leaders, memorabilia, letters written by and to NIxon and pictures.
Unlike Disneyland this park can be seen in one day, as long as you concentrate on the rollercoasters which make Knott's Berry Farm second only to Magic mountain. There are 6 themed lands here, the most fun is ghost town and indian trails and camp snoopy.
You will probably get lost here since this park is huge. IYou can come here to picnic, play sports, rest or walk up the hill where the observatory is located for a breathtaking view of LA at sunset. There are 4 main entrances to Griffith park. They also have a web page at www.griffithobs.org
This is a big store with a great selection of lamps and chandeliers of every kind. They also have lamp's shade and the staff is very friendly and will help you find the right thing for your house.
HInt: bring a picture of the room where you want to have your chandeliers.
I like to shop at Ralph's but this store is not clean enough. The moment I entered there was a overwelming odor that almost made me go out again. The register person was kind of indifferent also.
