There are so many interesting places to visit at Balboa Park. Besides the sprawling grass hills, frisbee golf course, and rose gardens, there are also a ton of great museums. The Rueben H. Fleet space Center is probably the most entertaining attraction. I also enjoy the museum of man and the aerospace museum. Overall, Balboa Park is a great place to visit. The big fountain is also fun to watch
If you ever need to get some guitar strings or accessories for your guitar or drums, I would seriously recommend going here. The prices are pretty fair, and the atmosphere is nice. The staff is very helpful and courteous. You can test all the gear out and look cool doing it if you know what you're doing.
Guitar Center has a ton of guitars at decent prices. You can hook them up to the amps and test them out, but you won't get a lot of help from the staff. I would recommend that you buy guitars used or online if you really want a good price. Also, the location for me is really far away so I'd rahter go to Guitar Trader where I got my guitar.
El Patron recently opened in Scripps Ranch, and I am not quite impressed. The proportions are very large and you definitely get a good ammount of food for your money, but the flavor seems bland to me. To test if you are a real man, I suggest trying to take on the grande burro. I think it is about 1 pound of burrito madness.
Sometimes I just crave a nice warm california burrito from Chile Peppers. They have recently expanded their restaurant and it has a much nicer atmosphere now including a plasma screen TV. The food is excellent and is fairly priced espite the recent price hikes. You can get out of here with a meal for under $5 with your stomach content.
If you have ever been to the Mission Valley Library, you know that iti is the best in San Diego. it is made to look liek the San Diego river is running through it. There are also a ton of books for your selection. The only problem is that it is busy and in the middle of a mall.
Marshall middle school seems to be more impacted than ever before. They built bungaloes all over the old basketball courts, so now there isnt as much place for PE. The teaching staff is pretty good, and there aren't too many problems with students and staff. Overall a pretty good middle school.
It is sad that Scripps Ranch is one of the newest schools, but it seems to be the poorest designed and is falling apart already. They started importing students form other areas of San Diego and it seems to have degraded the quality of the student body. Traffic is a freakin nightmare before and after school. Also, chances are if you have an older toyota or honda it will get stolen or broken into.
Todai is a great place to eat with the family or a special someone. Anyone else you shouldnt go with because it is quite expensive. I recommend going on your birthday because you get free dinner. This place has a ton of food iranging from traditional sushi and shushimi(however you spell it) to modern desserts.
I like coldstone because you can pretty much make your own flavors with the mix ins. My personal favorite is the cheesecake icecream with the strawberry mix in. A really popular flavor is sweet cream as well as cake batter, but I find these to be too sweet for me which is stange because I have a sweet tooth.
