I have been recommended to this place several times and I stopped in for a visit and the atmosphere is -beautiful.- A very relaxing, calm and soothing place; posh and clean, also. It is true that their staff is extremely detail oriented and focused on -service- rather than money - though, keep in mind that this place is a bit costly and that you will have to pay a nice sum for your royal treatment. Recommended.
Mike's Carpeting
Free estimes, instant credit, no money down. Sounds like a TV commercial, but they really do come through with all of that; however, their selection is fairly small and limited to mid-range quality stuff. I recommend them if all you want is the same ole beige/off-white or blue/gray carpet that everybody else has for quick, affordable prices/service. They are experienced. Recommended.
Pasadena Rug Mart Exquisite Oriental Rugs
They have some beautiful, beautiful oriental rugs which are their specialty. Very old and very ornate pieces of art! They are also extremely expert at cleaning and maintaining such old antiques and offer high quality services like 'old fashioned' carpet cleaning which is done much in part by hand and takes a very long time. Few places still offer things like that, short of a museum restoration team. They also buy old, fine rugs if you don't know what to do with yours, and give free and quick appraisals.
Chimney Doctor
I don't know if this is the same Chimney Doctor that cleaned my fireplace and mantle, but the one I went to was vey friendly and very professional, and didn't come in a big black sooty outfit. VERY clean, as well, and did not leave a mess! The fireplace he cleaned was a very old fixture of a very old home, and he did an amazing job that truly cleared it up without costing it its old, rustic look. Great job.
Alberto's Polish & Refinish
They came to polish the various brass pieces in and around the mantle of a very old fireplace and did a beautiful job without having to replace anything. Very careful and expert services! He also rambled off a quick quote for my chandelier, even though I did not want it done at the time. The quote was reasonable and I iwll keep it in mind because when I do want it polished, Iw ill definitely come back to these guys.
Interior Concepts
The styles of the different merchandise they offer go together very wlel, as it is all high quality and very stylish. Upholstery, carpets, reupholstery, and a few designers, as well as very very fine furniture is all packed into this place and very tastefully put together. Definitely come here to take a look when you're renovating, for some really beautiful ideas of how to decorate your home!
La Canada Paint & Wallpaper
They have a huge wall paper selection! TONS of big ole books with different kinds of wall-papers, and, to boot, they also have a lot of different kinds of bed spreads to match the new wall paper you want to choose. They are very friendly, and the styles they offer are very attractive. I would prefer to go to a bigger chain for paint selections, however.
Howe Floors
They have monthly sales which is a great time to call in for a quote on something you'd like to rennovate. Their website is half broken, though, so don't look at that for too long for current information but it does have a lot of information that will help you choose a carpet style (did you know that there are different kinds of -loops- in carpet fibers?) All their merchandise is top of the line at fairly competitive prices (though not the lowest prices, unless they are having a large sale..), so the wait for those sales are really worth it.
Discount Blinds & Shades
These guys have a lot of promises to give you and I have no reason to doubt their word, so far. THey promise lowest prices, fastest delivery, friendliest service and greatest selection, all under one roof; wow. AND they give quotes over the phone. After seeing this ad, I could not pass up a try at them and they are quite true to their word. They even disposed of the old blinds that were falling apart in our bedrooms. Highly recommended.
Royal Fireplace & Patio
They used to have a website but I don't know what happened to it. They do both installs and design of fireplaces, as well as grills and BBQs which is really nice. Despite being in a small-town area, they have a very large selection of everything from mantels, to firelogs, to stoves, BBQs, and different materials like limestone, casts, woods, and other stuff. They also 'guarantee' the lowest prices- how they do that, I don't know. Recommended.
