I was never fond of the California public school system. The education always seemed to be behind, and the "powers that be" never seemed to understand the students (I say that as both a former student & parent).
Up until January 2005, we have either Home Schooled our 4 kids, or gone to a Steiner based Charter School. Due to some events, we had to enroll our kids in the public school system.
I was suprised on how the school welcomed our oldest kids, and the teachers worked with them (as their former curriculim wasn't on the same timeline as the public system- so they were ahead on some, behind on some).
The kids were able to ease into it, and they made the transistion easy and comfortable. I still don't like the testing, and loads of homework, but they do seem to be learning, and that's the most important.
Don't believe the name.. the clips they give aren't always great. I went there several times, and they would do an OK job, but there was only one girl there that could cut hair the right way. She never seemed to be there when I went, so after getting a couple bad cuts, I stopped going.
I started going to this place after Great Clips stopped doing a good job( about a year ago). The first few cuts I got were pretty good. At that time the cuts were $5 (now $7), so the rpice was right. They do an excellent job of moving people through. There's always about 8 barbers there, so you can usually walk right up and get your cut done.
The last 2 cuts I got weren't that great, and this last one is just terrible. I'll probably go back, and just make sure I don't get the same barber.
There are a lot of painting contractors around, and these guys always make sure the job get done, and gets done right! Kosco has been around for years, and they never use low-grade paint.
I would recommend them highly.
At the time we were living in an apt. and these guys had to come out and fix an ongoing problem with a major clog. They arrived on time (when they said they would), and got the job done, professionally, and somewhat quickly.
The people here are great, and if you can ask for Bonnie, she does an awesome job - men, women, kids doesn't matter they can handle it!
The prices are reasonable, and when you combine that with the friendly atmosphere, it's perfect!
We rented a truck from them about a year ago. They overcharged us to begin with, then refunded the wrong amount back. When we returned the truck, they weren't open, and were almost an hour late in opening. They did not apologize, and took forever in going through the process. We were set back almost an hour and a half, and when you're moving, that's a lot of time.
A lot of people I know love this place. I thought it was OK. The burgers are average (in both size and flavor) and the service has a lot to be desired. I've been once, and haven't been back. I may give them another shot in the future but for now, I'll stick with some of the other places around here.
I gave them a 3 because I seem to be the odd one in my circle of friends that don't care for this one.
We tried these guys a couple of weeks ago. We chose them on price, and they didn't disappoint. I think we got 2 XL (18") for about $20, and it was awesome!
It was delivered fast (and hot) . I highly recommend them!
This is a place that I don't go to very often, but when I do, it's usually in a large group. The person taking the order is very patient, and helpful with recommendations. I was joking one time and said the order was too high (price) and she gave me a discount! Great customer service.
The only reason this didn't get a five was the food... it's good but there are other place that are better.
