Big 5 Sporting Goods

It is nice to have Big 5 around if you like to get good deals on your sporting equipment and shoes. They are always having sales on their shoes and you can check out their Sunday flyer before you go into the store. The people have always been nice and helpful. The store is small and a little crowded but you can find a lot here.

Tall Mouse Arts & Crafts

Tall Mouse has been in the area for a long time now I have found it always to be clean, though it is hard to find help if you have questions. Prices seem fair and they have a great selection of classes if you are interested in learning something new. They also have fun kid classes during the summer. Michaels

There is something for everyone at Michaels. Whether you are a season crafter or just need some frames or shelves this is the place to go. They have great sales and the store is nice. Just look in you Sunday paper for their flyer to get coupons and get ready to spend some time in the store!

Blockbuster Video

I was a Hollywood video only guy for a long time, but once Blockbuster came out with their online video rentals I quickly made the switch. Now I get two free video or game rentals a month with my online subscription so once a month I go into the store and rent two video games. They always have games that my kids want and you can keep them for fourteen days without any late fees. Customer service has always been great and the store is clean and organized.

CVS/Pharmacy

I rarely go into Sav-On, mainly because it is just a pain to get in and out of. The other reason is that the customer service really stinks. I use to get all my medication there but with pharmacies in every grocery store and other places I now go elsewhere. Also, to get the better prices you have to have their club card.

Barnes & Noble Booksellers

I love Barnes & Noble. Even though it is a pain as far as parking, the store is always clean and comfortable to be in. They have a ton of magazines and have a great childrens area too. The Starbucks inside is always busy and you can also buy music. They put their customer service desk in the middle of the store so it is easy to get help, I just wish there were more chairs throughout the store.

Lowe's Home Improvement

This is a fairly new Lowes and is a nice size. The store is easy to get in and out and I have found I like it better then Home Depot. To me this is a more upscale version of Home Depot which also makes it more expensive a lot of times. It is nice that they send out flyers a lot in the Sunday paper so you can see what deals they have.

Aliso Viejo Ice Palace

This is a great place to take the family to ice skate. They have parties their, lessons and games. They have separate rooms for parties which make it nice and easy and the kids love to ice skate. They also have bleachers so you can watch games or lessons that are going on.

Walgreens

This is the only Walgreens in this area and I have found the people that work here to be very nice and even will substitute items when their sale items are gone. The store is clean and small but it does have a pharmacy and a photography area inside.

My only gripe with this store is that they do not put up all of the sale signs on the items shown for sale in their flyer, which means you constantly have to ask for price checks.

Health Works

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owners are always there and very helpful. You can always get good prices and the best service. They sell many natural ways to get healthy and things to help when you are sick. We have always been greeted well and always have had a great outcome with this store.
