Alamo Pintado is a renowned equine veterinary hospital. They have the most advanced medical care available. Dr Mark Rick is an excellent vet - one of the top in his field. Alamo Pintado is a recognized national leader in the research and treatment of equine lameness. I highly recommend this place particularly for your valuable equine athlete.
I went out on a limb thinking Aveda is a reputable name so they must have good stylists. NO. I paid alot of money to get highlights which after hours of sitting there you couldn't see! I was so dissappointed. The girl said I could come back and she would "fix" my hair (which looked no different than when I came in). On my second appointment she tried stripping the toner that covered the highlights she put in. I'm sure not the best for my hair. You still couldn't see the highlights after all that. My hair was pretty thrashed after that so I gave up. The kicker was that she still charged me!
Wall to wall array of cosmetics, perfumes, and skin care essentials. There are almost too many choices! They carry Urban Decay, Christian Dior, Shiseido, Stila, BeneFit, Interface and Nars to name a few. Everything is available for sampling and salespeople are eager to help clients. Expect to pay top dollar.
We hired a "kitchen designer" from here, and were extremely disappointed. She could not come up with a design after over a month. She said she was stumped. We eventually asked for a refund after a couple of months with no progress. The show rooms are very nice, but do not be deceived into spending $40k or more on incompetent designers.
I have brought a few trophies and silver platters here to be engraved. They did a good job. They had some inventory of plaques, trophies, arcrylic & glass awards, but I'm sure you would special order whatever you wanted. They were nice to deal with and pretty quick.
The first thing you notice when entering the quaint nail shop is that all the manicurists are.... Caucasian. A very unique sight for a nail salon. They do an excellent job. The shop is very cozy and clean, which you would expect from its location in Sierra Madre. Highly recommended.
Huge inventory of hair care products. They care all the lines I've ever heard of. The staff is helpful is you are looking for a recommendation. They also care an extensive amount of skin care products, mostly kept behind the counter. Attached is a nail & hair salon, but I'm not crazy about those services. The manicurist don't pay attention to detail such as filing your nails straight. When I've left I'm usually dissappointed and have to reshape all my nails. Stick to the supplies, not the services.
Rev. Hufft was the perfect officiant. He helped us write our vows and design our ceramony exactly how we wanted it. He is ordained by the Universal Life Church, a non denominational organization.
Funny thing to see him on ABC-TV as the officiant for "Trista and Ryan's Wedding" a few years after we were married!
I go to Dr. Salwa Farag, M.D. who is part of the Arroyo Seco Medical Group. She is also affiliated with Huntington Hospital. There are quite a few doctors in this group, but DR Farag is the only one I have seen in the past 6 years.
She is kind and I would recommend her, however with the high volume of patients you probably won't be remembered if you only go in for a checkup one a year.
The office is clean and efficient. Luckily, I have not had any major dental problems, so most of my experience has been with the hygienists. They are competent and friendly.
Allan Paul, DDS also works at this office and my experience with him has been very good.
