When i signed up for service, the person who helped me said there would be no activation fees (this was a selling point for me, and the reason i chose Cingular). Turns out, she was wrong and both the manager of this store and Cingular customer service flat out refused to issue a credit.
Also be careful when getting phones at these places. Some locations will give you a phone for free while others will charge you for the exact same phone.
I have never had a good experience at this location. The phone selection is limited, everything's expensive and there's always a huge wait for a service rep. Unfortunately, I have to go here periodically for my job and it's always a giant headache.
One of the better Office Depot stores, in my experience. The store is well laid out and organized and the staff are friendly & helpful. Returns here are hassle free, unlike at the West L.A. store.
So honest, in fact, that I didn't even purchase from them... as much as I wanted to give them the business. I went in looking for a specific futon to fit an existing frame. Unfortunately, they didn't have what i needed and were honest enough to say so. The owner could've easily lied just to make a sale, but he didn't. He even gave me tips on how/where to get what i want. I really wish i could've made my purchase from here; after researching several stores Futons & More has by far the best quailty and prices.
Not only are the gas prices exorbitant here, the service department isn't particularly trustworthy. They claimed my car was failing a smog test (funny, it never did that before) and that it could cost up to $700 just to diagnose. I brought my car elsewhere and was told, essentially, that a switch just had to be reset (cost to repair: $50). Also be careful if you use coupons; they're designed to get you into the station and of course they always find something else that needs repair.
Work took forever to complete and I had the same problems not long thereafter (but after the warranty expired, naturally). In retrospect, I learned that the mechanic working on my car wasn't that knowledgable. Live & learn.
It's easy to overlook this hotel when driving down Washington Blvd, but it's actually a very reasonable place to stay for Marina del Rey. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's clean and if you book far enough in advance the rates are excellent. Breakfast is included in the price of the room (I don't know if that's standard, though) and they serve cookies in the afternoon as well.
Bright, kitschy decor and a huge menu are the first things that spring to mind when I think about Swingers. The entrees are creative (and taste good) and there are plenty of vegetarian options. Sandwiches and omelettes are particularly good.
Pros: fun atmosphere and decor, good salads and burgers.
Cons: too expensive (especially considering many of the entrees are served in plastic baskets!)
I feel bad giving this only 2 stars because it isn't a bad place. Great location on the pier in Santa Monica, and the food is good. There isn't a whole lot of selection or variety to the menu, however, and the prices are high. For that kind of money, I expected... more.
