This store is very much worth noting because of the special attention they give. They truly go the extra mile. When my wife was looking for a very particular vitamin mix in a specific form, I attempted to locate it at two Whole Foods. They were willing to help but could only promise that the item would be ordered the next time that vendor came by. Well, that seemed to be taking quite a while. So, I stopped at Fruitful Yield. They did not have the product in stock but they immediately special ordered it. It was there within three days. Plus, whenever a customer has a special order, they automatically add that product to the store's standard shelf items, thereby assuring the item will be in stock next time.
Sometimes the Office Max staff can be a little too zealous in their aim to provide customer service (do they get commission?). The employees of this store seem to know that there's a balance between breathing room and assistance, and they are very good at allowing you to simply shop - but their always near if you have a question.
Most building experts I know prefer Home Depot over Menards because their staff tends to be more knowledeable. This Menards is clearly an exception - they know their stuff. And prices are the lowest in the area. They are also very courteous.
In the world of fast food, it's worth noting the places that are not only fast but accurate. The manager who works the late shift at this Burger King is tireless, hard-working and courteous. He runs an efficient restaurant. Your order will be ready quickly and it will be done right.
It seems hard to believe that someone working at a Dairy Queen could be full of themselves. The two guys my wife and I encountered working at this one simply thought they were too cool for an ice cream shop. Rude. And they made lousy sundaes.
It doesn't make sense to pay .69 a pound for bananas when you can get them for .29 a pound. This Aldi has some of the fastest checkout ladies working anywhere and they're very courteous. The food is always frest and much cheaper than at a chain grocery store.
For your time, it pays to go to the Jewel foodstore that actually has sale items in stock. This store seems to have a higher than normal amount of sale items in stock when each new ad comes out. Worth the drive.
I have no complaints with Borders anyway, but I always feel that the employees at this one work well as a group and always seem to be able to figure out how to track down a title. Very knowlegeable and courteous.
PROS: Quick, sharp, know their stuff
To be fair, the people who work in this store are courteous enough. My problem is with their refusal to handle customer issues in a fair manner. When my wife tried to return unopened makeup, they refused stating that their policy forbids it. But this policy wasn't posted anywhere. They said that any store would adhere to the same policy; I called five in the area and each of them said they would not hesitate to make the return. Like I said, it was unopened. Plus, it was purchased the day before and we had the receipt. I wrote to the corporate office but never receieved a response.
PROS: Great selection of goods
CONS: Caveat emptor
I've never received anything that even remotely passed for courtesy at any Pep Boys. But this one gets a gold star for going beyond simple rudeness to artful ignorance. Go there and you'll swear you don't exist. The workers must be independently wealthy because they don't seem to need their jobs.
CONS: Oblivious to their customers.
