Dr. Gold can be called a painless dentist, becuase he works very slowly and carefully -- so as to cause as little pain as possible. He is attentive to his patients and takes time to listen to any problems you might have with your teeth. He is honest about what work you might need and accepts most dental insurance plans.
This is a wonderful place to send your pre-school children for day care. They are very accommodating of working parents. They give a lot of attention to each kid. They don't allow sick kids to attend, so you don' t have to worry (too much!) about your kids getting sick from the others. It's a bit expensive, but not much more expensvie than other day care centers in the area.
The Jewish Community Camp of Pacific Palisades is a great place for elementary school age kids to go during the summers. They plan lots of activities for the kids -- making sure that they get lots of exercise and lots of time outside. The counselors have lots of experience, and the kids just love them!
This gym is really well-equipped. I like to do about 30 minutes there. You can go from one machine to the next without too much of a wait if you can go mid-day. Sometimes it gets really crowded during peak hours, but if you go at off times, it's a great workout!
We enjoy hanging out at the Club Sugar and listening to music. They have different types of acts -- so there is something for everyone. The place is kept very clean -- even the restrooms. Their prices are pretty reasonable. The staff is friendly.
Yes, service is expensive here -- but no more than at any other Volvo dealer. What we like at Volvo of Santa Monica is that you can have the same service writer each time, so they get to know you -- and your car. It makes it a lot easier each time you go in.
We hate to leave our dog with strangers -- that is, until we found Puppy Love. They really love pets, and, more importantly, pets love them! They take really good care of the pets. They use healthy food and treats. The facility is clean and "puppy friendly."
We love to go to this library to check out books and to sit and work. It's well lit, there is plenty of space to spread out, and they have a great selection of books and periodicals. Parking is usually pretty easy right on Montana Avenue. Of all the Santa Monica libraries, this is our favorite because the employees are so helpful and so cheery!
This Barnes and Noble has a fantastic children's book section. My kids can sit there for an hour and explore new books. They also have a great selection of mark-down books, so you can save a lot of money. The staff is very accommodating and will take the time to walk you to a section to find the exact book you are looking for.
Borders has the best selection of books and music and gift items on the Third Street Promenade. They have a nice coffee shop, too, where you can sit and relax. The whole store is very brightly lit and clean. The only bad thing is they have NO public restrooms anymore! That is very inconvenient!
