Franklins General Store
I especially enjoy the food and local items in this store-including made to order goodies like doughboys-, which has a wide variety of things for people of all ages. Prices are average, it is centrally located in Mystic Village near the aquarium, and parking is no problem. Service is average as well.
You Ve Got To Beading
This is a beautiful and well-stocked bead store, which seems to do an excellent business with its classes as well(there are always crowds of people attending them). I love that the beads are displayed by color, and there are so many types! Most are loose in bins, making selection easy. The parking lot is crowded, but on-street parking can be found, and getting there is simple. They do not seem to have dichroic glass beads, which are a favorite of mine, but do have tools, other supplies, and even yarn.
The Toy Soldier
We enjoy this packed toy store with its special room of highly detailed toy soldiers. There are also many educational toys, and imaginative ones, including high-end stuffed toys and dolls. The help can be a bit inattentive, but prices are average and there is always something fun to be found. Parking and getting there are simple.
Gray Goose Cookery
I found many great items of all kinds-from gourmet snacks to appliances-at this attractive store in Mystic Village. The help is friendly, getting there and parking is easy, and prices are about average. I purchased some things I had never seen before. There is even a candy counter with lovely chocolates. It is definitely a fun place to browse and find items you didn't know you needed!
Beval Saddlery
Although rather expensive, this place has many unusual and high-end items that you'd be unlikely to find elsewhere. I found the staff a bit 'elitist', and the check out service was very slow(two cashiers, each with one customer, both having major problems), but it was very enjoyable to browse. Purple rhinestone studded spurs, a large amount of human clothing, and lovely pastel plaid horse blankets are among the available items. It is beautifully set up and displays spectacular trophies and awards.
Not exactly on the beaten path, but with good parking, and close to the US Equestrian Team headquarters. I hear they have good sales.
New Moon Comics LLC
This could be considered one-stop shopping for comics and related materials. The selection of comics is excellent and well organized; the store is well-lit and roomy. Gaming cards, related clothing, and other items are also available. The store is easily found as long as you know the name of the mall it's in(Wayne Towne), and has simple free parking. Prices average, helpful staff.
Burlington Coat Factory
Especially good for shoes, this reasonably-priced store has a great selection of clothing for all ages. The service is probably below average, especially with their return policies, but it's easy to get to and park at. I've found some great, unique items there, even watches!
High Pocket B & B & Barn
One night felt like a weeks' worth of vacation. The people are wonderful, setting excellent, amenities lovely... horseback riding out on gorgeous trails was a real treat, and there are plenty of other activities. It's not hard to find and is affordable. Our stay was so comfortable and we felt at home after being there mere minutes.
Apple Blossom Antiques
Public parking is easy and the views while walking there are lovely. This is a nice little store for browsing, neatly set up friendly. I would say prices are average.
Mc Cusker's Market
This store has a wonderful selection of healthier/natural items that can be hard to find. It's almost a destination, with lovely views, and you can sit down and eat as well as order from a deli, including ice cream(non-dairy also available). The prices are probably average, and parking is free nearby. The service is good and it's well set up. I obtained some great natural bulk items on my trip there, as well as snacks.
