I attended the Carnegie Institute of Integrative Medicine & Massotherapy. I am a graduate of their massotherapy program. I am also a reiki master, and have taught reiki at the school. I found this school to be innovative and challenging. At Carnegie Institute they believe that education should be a hands-on experience that celebrates individual strengths and learning styles. Marie Ceroni, director, and Richard Ceroni, Ph.d., L.M.T., really get to know each of their students. They go out of their way to help in any way they can. They understand where their students need to improve and what potential has yet to be tapped. I applaud Richard and Marie for what they have accomplished. Carnegie also offers classes in Medical Assisting.
PROS: Very affordable tuition. Grants available too.
When we found Geraci's Restaurant, we found a piece of heaven on earth. They have the best pizza we have ever eaten. Their pizza has won several awards from the Plain Dealer and other Cleveland publications. Once you taste it, you'll understand why. When you mention their name, people always comment about their fabulous, mouth watering pizza! We also enjoy their pasta and baked italian sausage casserole. Mr. & Mrs. G have a terrific restaurant. When we would be down in Akron, we would actually drive ALL the way to University Heights to eat a Geraci's pizza. I don't ever recall doing that for anyone else's pizza!
If you are looking for a special gift, for someone special in your life, you will find it at Journeys! I love to shop at this beautiful store in the Old River Shopping area. They carry books, fountains, (both desktop and hanging), relaxing, uplifting music, greeting cards, journals, essential oils, singing bowls, and so much more. It is worth the trip to visit this wonderfully peaceful place. I am a reiki master. I was looking for some reiki jewelry, but I had no luck finding it. No matter where I looked, I could not find anything "reiki" to wear. I finally found it at Journeys. They were so helpful. They even ordered more reiki jewelry for me to come in and look at. They told me if I didn't like it, I was under no obligation to buy it. I give them an A in quality & customer service.
I joined Evolution Yoga in 2004. I remember when owner, Sandy Gross, took us on a tour of the facility. It wasn't finished at the time, but you knew it was going to be something very special. We were right!!! Two, eco-friendly yoga rooms, featuring 40+ classes weekly. Evolution Yoga also has showers, locker rooms and a gift shop. It is a beautiful facility. I really enjoyed attending my Vinyasa Yoga class, but there is so much more that Evolution Yoga has to offer. If you are interested in Yoga, I highly recommend Evolution Yoga as a place to start. It will help you on your path to spiritual and physical power!
PROS: Conveniently located.

Park City is a wonderfully designed diner reminscent of the most stunning diners of the past century! Their food is delicious, and their desserts are to die for! When we want a GREAT hamburger, and freshly cut french fries, we go to Park City. Oh, their milk shakes are so thick and creamy. They also make a fabulous meat loaf, pot roast, patty melt, macaroni and cheese, etc...Can you tell we love the food? But, they also serve scrumptious hot, tasty breakfasts! If you haven't been to Park City Diner, make it a point to stop in! We have never been disappointed, and you won't be either!
PROS: Great food, great atmosphere, terrific prices!
I love glasses! Well, at least the frames. I had heard about Europtical, but I had never made an appointment at their Optical store. I was determined to see what Europtical was all about. I am so glad I did! My husband and I had complete eye exams, and we both purchased a pair of glasses. Europtical carries the most unique frames. They are so beautiful, and there are so many to choose from too! We had a terrific experience at Europtical. I can't wait to return to pick out new optical wear for my eyes. I can say with confidence that what Europtical offers is optical wear. You can go anywhere for a pair of glasses, but for optical wear visit Europtical!
We have been remodeling our home. It is so convenient to have Sherwin Williams close-by. We are doing our home in an oriental motif. Sherwin Williams has a huge selection of wallcovering books to browse through. We were looking for an oriental pattern to border our living room walls. We found several in the wallcovering books at Sherwin Williams. They ordered the pattern we chose, and called immediately when it was ready to be picked up. With that kind of service so close to home, we have visited the store again and again for paint and other supplies.
People say Nordstom is a bit pricey. I have to say that you get what you pay for! Nordstrom carries items that are not ordinary. I love to shop in their cosmetic department. They carry cosmetic lines that you only find in the most exclusive fashion magazines. You never have to be concerned about whether a cosmetic color looks good with your skin tone, or hair color. There is always very knowledgeable, helpful customer service representatives ready to assist you.
What can I say about Target? Their new slogan Expect More, Pay Less is absolutely true! I love to shop at the newest Target in our area, University Square in University Heights. They have top quality merchandise and you can always find what you are looking for at Target. My friend Keith says that he always goes to Target first before shopping in a competitor's store. He always shopped at Target, when Target wasn't a household name. He refers to it as Tar-jay!
