My daughter had a severe seizure and quit breathing and was rushed via ambulance to the closest hospital, Baylor Grapevine. The ER staff was kind and proffesional. The areas weren't set up very well for young children like this. The wouldn't allow me to stay for her spinal tap which I had witnessed twcie before. The felt I would get hystrical, which was a bit weird as I was being totally calm (even hubby said so!). Maybe it was staff policy. I would use again if we needed one that quickly though I prefer Cooks for the kids.
This clinic was slammed full of patients every time we went. Even though the waiting area is very large and filled with lots of chairs we still had to stand! The staff was helpful and quick. We had to wait upwards of 40 mintues though. Testing went smootly, though I totally disagreed with the results! Upon a re-test I was found to be right and the office said they were sorry. This is a well respected group... but a bit too big for me. Location is quite easy to find behin HM HEB. Large uncovered parking. Easy access to highway.
We had to make use of the ER 4 times for various childhood problems. Their triage teams are GREAT. When I came in with my infant son (4 weeks old) they rushed us to the back and immediatly set up his care. My daughters seizures were managed quickly with compassionate care. Teh wiating area is huge with some neat automatic dispalys for the kids to watch. Parking is eay in the garage just accross the street. Staff is friendly and really seems to care about kids. We also used Cooks for a few surgeries for the kids. Top notch care all around.
When my son needed an eye exam I searched high and low for the right doctor. My son was then 2 and I knew it was going to get ugly. There was another doc I heard alot about... but I heard good and bad about that other doc. Dr Beauchamp I only heard about from a few people, but the info I got was absolutly glowing reports of how wonderful he was. I was so pleased we went with him. The office is in a nice building with an attached parking garage. Waiting room is clean with some toys for teh children. Eye exams wents very well wtih dr Beauchamp. He was very soft spoken and oh so kind. He kept trying when other dos might have given up on my terrified child. In the end after 7 months of glasses my son required surgery. I made sure Dr Beauchamp had no complaints against him or medical malpractice suits from surgery problems. Nothing. The only complaint was a disgruntled emplyoee from over 20 years ago! At the surgery center the staff went on and on about how lucky we were to have such a good surgeon. Surgery went very smoothly, only took a little over an hour. Dr Beauchamp called us at home that night to check on our little boy again. If I didnt' have to drive over 8 hours to get to him I would happily keep using this World Class Doctor.
We used Dr Savid Lawson for years at this practice. The building they are in is nice and well kept with plenty of chairs. The receptionists are busy, but try to keep things flowing. The set up is geared more towards, in my opinion, adults. It was often hard to find pedi sized things that were needed in the office. Afterhours are only to around 8 pm, which needed to be longer in my opinion. Dr Lawson himself is a very nice man who truly cared about our children. If you need a fmily care practice this is pretty good one.
Seriously I can't say enough nice stuff about this Dr. The kids loved him... to the point that when we were moving out of state my 4 year old's one request was to go tell Dr. Ben goodbye!!! (We did with a few tears) He helped us through some rought times and sick kiddos. whenthey moved to the new beautiful office (love it) I drove over 20 miles each way to see him. Worth every second of driving time. If he is accepting patients use him!!! The pracitce he is in is great. Friendly helpful staff, very caring. Location is far north FW, easy to find. Ample parking. They have onsite labs for basic things which is super nice as well.
The hills are crazy for strollers. It's bad when they have to post warnings about stroller safety on a walking path hill! The Zoo Grounds are old and outdated. The crowds here are less than the FW Zoo... for a reason! They had an unfortunate incident a few years ago where a gorilla escaped and I truthfully am wary to return ever again. Drive over to FW for a much better Zoo! Location is out of the way, parking is ok. Price is steep for what you get.
My daughter went to a party on rainy January afternoon. The crowds were crazy (they had 6 parties booked in a 3 hour time frame) and the staff was... well, rude. Parking was difficult. Many of the arcade games didn't even work. The course was open for the kids even in bad rain and lightening! We ended up leaving. Wouldn't return.
On the outside this place isn't much to look at... but inside! They have all kinds of the nicier type baby/kids items on the market. This was the only store in FW where we could find my Baby Bjorn at the time. And it was on sale. The staff was nice... though for such a huge store there were only TWO employees! Still we returned often for those special well priced hard to find items.
Oh the things to be found in this store. They have the coolest dreamy whilmsical type cribs, beds etc. The prices are beyond outrageous, so be prepeared for that! But the staff is super friendly and very happy to help you find what you need. The also carry some smaller ticket tiems for baby gifts. Great for showers and a new familiy baby. Location is in the fantastic Southlake center... plan to spend the day. But if you can't it's super easy access where you can park out front. Have fun desigining that nursery.
