In July they have an awesome Pops concert series with fireworks after each concert. A great way to take in the scenery, get some culture and enjoy family night. During the day the gardens are a wonderful. The kids have acres to raom around on... their favoriet area is the fountains and the stepping stones. We try to stop and read all the flower names. Free to get in... but I'd pay to go here! Bring the picnic basket and the camera. Great date for sure.
The ONLY reason this got a 4 was because you had to pay admission to enter this area of the gardens. But in many ways it was well worth the price. Event he children were drawn in by the beauty. The Koi are lovely... and they have som HUGE ones. The plants are so obviously well loved and cared for. A good date place I would imagine. Easy to find... and feels like you are waaaay out of Texas (100 plus degree heat aside!)
They have fun and unique gift baskets for giving here. We got a teddy bear basket done up for a new mom and baby. It got raves reviews from everyone that got to peek at it. The staff was very nice and inserted some special things we had pre-bought to the package. I thought that was nice. Their price ranges start from well priced to 'the sky is the limit'. You could go REALLY crazy with some stuff here.
This is another one of those pricier stores to be found down on Main Street. But they have such FUN stuff to look at. The kids always liked to peer in the windows. And sometimes (if they were acting good) we'd go in for a longer look with some AC. Pieces change (obviously) but there is always something neat to see. If you are looking for a great piece for your home or office I'd check here for sure. Staff doesn't have much to say unless you address them directly... but seemed like they knew their stuff pretty well. Location is great for if you are downtown already for other stuff, not so great if you are just running to that store. Free parking garage is about 2 blocks away.
We liked this place for the free car wash truthfully! The oil changes were competetively priced, so why not get a car wash at the same time? Of course I was always suckered into a more expensive wash. But it was worth it. Staff was very nice, waiting area clean... though coudl be smoking smelling. Wait was never too long. Would definatly recommend. And such a deal if you have the PassBook!
When my husband was in Graduate School he needed a temp job on the side (baby on the way then!) This agency had a job by the next day. Great pay and easy to get to from our home. I gave them a 4 becuase they office was kinda musty and stale. Very bare bones. I think they could splurge a bit and liven up the place. Couteous staff, very helpful.
I was SO excited when they opened this store in Fort Worth. The store is just beautiful. Very clean and cool. There are places for the kiddos to sit if there is a long wait. You WILL have a long wait if you go right before Mother's Day or Christmas... REALLY long. But the stuff is so worth itl They do gift wrap for free and soder on charms for free as well. Will continue to use JA for years to come. Easy in and out due to being in a strip mall center.
We saw the William Weigmann exhibit here. The kids LOVED it. The museum is on the smaller scale... but clean and well kept. Teh lobby/gift shop area is chock full of teh neatest gift ideas. Stroller was a bit hard to get through the crowds... but managable. Ther were large leather settees throughout which was very nice. A fun free musuem... get some culture into those kids!
What a lovely museum. Though this is an older museum age wise... it's still a very well mantained, beautiful gallery. It has a large gift shop with clean bathroom scattered throughout. The exhibits they get are awesome. My favorite I saw there was probably Money. Also kid and (more importantly) stroller friendly. A wonsderful family outing.
My daughter took her first ballet lessons here. The owner/instructor was great. She not all peaches and cream... but the children listened to her very well. The recital went VERY smoothly (held at the auditorium in the Fine Arts Museum in FW). Probably my only complaint would be the waiting area for parents. It's miserable and dirty. Not the best place to hang out with the younger kids while you wait. An excellent program otherwise. I would really recommend them.
