Hallmark of Black Mountain offers a large selection of greeting cards and personal gifts. Many times I have been stressed looking for a last minute gift and have been saved by Hallmark. With their large selection of cards, gift wrap and gifts, finding a gift is an easy job. The prices are on the expensive side, but the quality and customer service is great.
Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany and Company offers the best quality and selection of diamonds and jewelry. The prices are very high but the quality is well worth it. The customer service is also outstanding. If you are planning on going, it would be best to go on a weekday, as the weekends bring in many customers (or observers) leaving it difficult to get serviced in an efficient manner. The location is great as it is located in the Fashion Valley mall, however parking is very difficult, unless you go at an off time.
REI
Walking into REI, you can be overwhelmed by all the recreational equipment that is offered. Its is a great feeling and choosing where to start is your biggest hurdle. Once you have began looking at all of the top quality equipment, you realize that your shopping experience can be endless. From camping equipment to running shoes, from kayaks to mountain bikes, if you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is the place to be. The prices are on the high side, but the quality is priceless.
Postalannex+
Having just moved to San Diego, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful post office. This post office is located in an area that is easy to find and where parking is not an issue. The post office is open early in the morning, making it easy to run there before work. The attendants are always friendly and the story is never too busy. Getting in and out of there is always a quick and pleasant experience.
Windy's Flowers
Windy's Flowers is a great place to go when looking for a good quality flower at a good price. They offer many types of flowers in many different arrangements. This shop is great for corsages, wedding arrangement and celebrating holidays. The atmosphere is friendly and personal. This store is easily accessible.
Friends of San Diego Public
This library offers a great place to go and do research, find books for personal entertainment and to have a quiet place work or read. The library is located central to many housing areas and offers a great resource for people of all ages. Be sure to turn off your cell phones before going in, as you will be quickly asked to shut it off if it rings.
Ten Perfect Nails
Ten Perfect Nails offers their services at a good price. The salon is satisfactory condition. The service however is not anything to come back to. After having my nails done I was pleased with the out come, until I came home and realized that they were already chipping. After two days my nails were almost completely chipped apart. The parking is easily accessible to the shop.
Barnes & Noble
Barnes and Noble Book Store of Carmel Mountain offers a wide selection of books to choose from. The books are organized in clearly labeled sections and there is always a customer service representative available to assit you. Inside the bookstore is also a cafe so that you can enjoy a quiet atmospher and read or study. The parking is not a problem as the store is located in a large shopping center.
H&R Block
H and R Block of Mission Veijo offers a service that can be utilized according to your schedule. There are many people available to assit you as along as you make an appointment ahead of time. This was a great selling point for me because I have a heavy calendar, however once I realized their service was not up to par, this selling point no longer mattered to me. When my taxes where done, I was not convinced that the correct amount of money was being returned to me. I took it to another tax return company and found I was correct. There were many areas that could have been researched better and my refund was doubled.
