I took an online course and it was awesome, one of the best I've taken. The book selections were interesting instead of dull and the assignments made it easier to absorb the materials. I liked the course materials so much that I've kept it all. The school has some degrees that you can get entirely online. Others require you to come to campus and it's not too convenient.
PROS: Selection, quality, staff, online availability, price
I was in SMU's Legacy MBA program (it's in Plano), which made it convenient for me to get an education without driving all the way to the main campus. You do take some of the electives on campus (depends on your choices), but all the required courses are on the Legacy campus. It's a challenging program with superb staff. I didn't give it a five star only because some professors were very difficult to understand due to their accents. But they knew their subjects very well.
PROS: Quality, location, staff
I took a Flash course at Richland and it was a good experience. I created a few projects and enjoyed it. The price is excellent and the schedule accommodates a variety of full-timers' schedules. Because of the Internet connection and its servers, I was able to post my projects online as well as send them to my server so I could keep them.
PROS: Selection, quality, staff, price, schedule
CONS: Distance (not bad, but difficult for me now)
Located next to Henry's Ice Cream and Big Lots!, the store is no longer there. It has been replaced with some techincal business. There is nothing to see.
This was a great story with many unusual baby items. It also had items that can be personalized. The staff was nice and knew who I was every time I came. But alas, it closed.
PROS: Selection, quality, staff
CONS: Closed, prices
When you go to book fairs, the books may be sorted by category, but they're not alphabetical. It makes it difficult to find books that you have in mind. Half Price sorts most of its books in categories as well as alphabetically. But some categories are missing or you have no idea where to find certain titles. The store also has clearance stacks and these are not organized, which can eat up a lot of browsing time.
PROS: Categories, Alphabetized Books, Prices
CONS: Clearance stacks unorganized
It isn't easy shopping here as you have to look closely at all the items and their prices to find the good stuff. It is messy since the racks have hodgepodge of items rather than similar stuff grouped together since the collection is varied. I found some basics that worked great. Price couldn't be beat.
PROS: Prices, comfortable clothes
CONS: Selection, messy
I had great success at Mimi's on one visit there. Got some items on sale and some at regular price, but not as pricey as the expensive maternity stores. The clothes I got here survived two pregnancies including one with a nine pounder.
PROS: Selection, quality, sale prices, staff
I was desperate for a couple of things and finally found them in this store. The clothing selection isn't big, but there are many other stuff here such as baby stuff, support belts, and undergarments <blush>.
PROS: prices, hard to find stuff
It might take a lot of looking around to find the right dress for a wedding, prom, or other special occasions. I managed to find several dresses on one visit. The selection is diverse, from classy and elegant to sexy and trashy.
PROS: Prices, diverse styles
