The Salem store is pretty small compared to those in nearby Portland, but the quality of clothing can't be beat in Salem. They have a great Anniversary sale so watch for it and buy then. Their customer service is legendary.

Burlington Coat Factory

Salem doesn't have many choices for baby/kids furniture and accessories. Burlington has one of the largest selections for these items within the city. My only complaint is their return policy. It's only good for a very short period of time and I tend to buy things in advance of when I need them.

Russells Salon & Day Spa

I went in for a few pedicures while I was pregnant (and couldn't reach my feet) - this place was great. I have tried pedicures at other salons and I have to say that this place is the best by far. It's a little expensive but worth it for a treat. I haven't had any of their other services...yet.

Children's Place

I love, love their clothes. The styles are cute and the quality is hard to beat. I would recommend the clothing they carry especially for people who plan on having several kids. Their clothes are so great they'll stand up to many kids wearing them. Watch for sales as some of their items can be spendy.

Arbor

There are only a few places in Salem that are great for unique gifts and the Arbor is one of them. You can find interesting soaps or garden type items that are just generic enough to be great for anyone but are still special enough to make a great gift. Plus, it's really fun to browse.

College Of Hair Design Careers

I have had pedicures and facials at this salon. The pedicure was okay, but I can't speak for future experiences as it completely depends upon who does it. I suppose it's the same for the facials, but I have to say everytime I've had one here it has been wonderful.

Motherhood Maternity

I loved this store while pregnant. Their clothing is inexpensive, very flattering, and held up well. I didn't want to spend more than $40 for pants I would only wear for such a short amount of time. I would recommend for any clothing items, especially nursing bras.

Doctors Clinic Llp

I have since switched to another physician's office, but was not impressed when I was a patient here. The staff once accused me of being late when the nurse had kept me waiting for over 45 minutes in the waiting room. (I offered to show her my check in slip.) I saw several different doctors here but was not impressed with any of them.

Tuesday Morning

I love, love this store. I've only dared to go into this store once, but came out with a new bed set, tablecloth, napkins, and placemats. They have great, quality home items and their prices aren't too bad either. Watch for sales and make sure you sign up for their mailer as the their inventory changes all the time.

Wow, these beads are beautiful. They have a huge selection and it's inspiring. I think prices at some of the beads shows are a little better but you can't beat this place for convenience and selection.
