We've been here a few times and our daughter always loves it but honestly it needs some extra cash to update it a bit, some of the displays are just looking a bit old and outdated and the museum itself isn't as nice as it should be for a museum in Dallas.
That said i don't think the kids notice as much as the parents when there's golf balls to roll down rollercoaster tracks and other fun things to participate in.
Can you say "woot woot" .. seriously thats how i felt after leaving here.
I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years and came down with a horrible infection,i was so scared i was almost falling down but we found this place and the dentists, all the staff and everyone there was just amazing. The place itself is gorgeous, you go in and it's so clean, calm and serene, there's drinks for you and really comfy chairs to sit in.
I then went into an exam room as fast as my jelly legs could get me there anyway, they sat me in a chair and put the massager on the chair on to relax me,there were little waterfalls in the room and they asked me what music i wanted.
When Dr Roy came in i almost left the chair but he was so reassuring and sweet,he got me through the exam by being patient and gentle with me and when i came back for all my work the next week is was just the same.
They even buy you a milkshake from Braums afterwards ..
If you're nervous or scared of the dentist in anyway this is the only place to go ..
I could go broke in this place, whenever i take my daughter in here she grabs a little basket and goes shopping, they've got such a lot of stock for her to choose from i don't think i've ever heard her say yet "i'm done" before being dragged out of there complaining she didn't want to leave.
The staff are also friendly and quick to offer you a hand with anything you might need, they also always take the time to talk with my daughter when i'm in there which i like as well.
Fun for all the family .. we had a huge family get together here and it was a lot of fun,the kids loved riding the airplanes and train before the guys took them on the bumper boats, they didn't even mind getting wet they had so much fun.
Then we played a round of mini-golf which is a nice course, very clean as well,i even rescued about 10 balls hiding in the bushes.
The only thing that would prevent this being rated higher was as with everywhere like this the food and drinks was overpriced.
We went bowling with my parents in law and our three yr old daughter on Saturday evening and had so much fun together, despite the age gap there was plenty for us all to do and the stand the little ones can use to roll their ball off made sure my daughter felt like she was really taking part.
Food wasn't to bad and there was just another other amusements that she could play but we didn't end up there all night.
I'm not a real big fan of this store, the Toys R Us stores in general yes but this one in particular no .. it's not very clean in there, the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired and everything feels a little packed in.
However anywhere i can buy toys for my kids, walk around and have my daughter smile can't be bad and although it's a bit small in comparison to some there selections are still really good and my daughter never leaves unhappy.
Someone hit our car late Friday night and so we called Enterprise for a rental Saturday morning, they hadn't gotten the rental information for our insurance company but were awesome and took the time to call the insurance company and get the information from them directly, they then told us they only had one car left in the lot but it was ours to collect and if we couldn't get a ride there one of them at the rental place would come collect my husband so we could get our car.
The car itself ended up being a huge 6 seater Chevy Silverado that was clean, ran beautifully and we didn't want to give back nearly 2 weeks later ..
We couldn't have asked for better service after the stress of the accident the night before.
There's a song in England called "we're going to the zoo" and there's a line that says "you can stay all day" .. well we'd stay for a week and maybe then get around everything .. this zoo is the best attraction for families in the entire metroplex and somewhere we'll be going often.
There are tons of animals in great enclosures you don't have any trouble seeing and the new Great Barrier Reef exhibit is fun especially for the kids trying to spot Nemo in one of the tanks.
Best of all though .. Parrot Paradise,it's worth the trip just for this, you get to feed the parakeets who all fly around your head and land on the feed sticks in your hand.
This is somewhere you're going to have no problem staying allday.
We went in there oneday for some fishfood after being in one of the other stores there .. Now we can't stop going back, they let you play with the puppies, hold the bunnies, ferrets, guinea pigs, mice and birds and the store is clean adn well laid out while the staff are so friendly and always willing to help and awnser your questions ..
My only warning is be prepared to go back often, now my daughter wants to go everytime we're out anywhere.
This is a large and very clean gas station which is always nice if you're going to buy food from there .. the gas price isn't bad for the area either but the best thing is the Slurpee's .. they have two machines and SEVEN different types of slurpee .. Now thats enough to keep the whole family happy through this hot summer.
