One of the most beautiful and moving productions I've ever seen in my life! I saw Noah in this theater and was stunned at their ability to flesh out such a straightforward unrelateable bible story into a full blown musical with incredible effects! My biggest surprise was when the entire theater wall opened up to reveal animals! Absolutely amazing! Can't wait to go back to see another!
Deblasios covers all the basis with hair, nails and tanning. The best part is that they are experts in all three! I loved tanning here (although they only had three beds) because they were willing to explain their procedures to me and made me feel very pampered. Nail techs. did a great job on acrylics, and I could never complain about a haircut I received here! Great place to get ready for a special event!
This is a great "small town hidden treasure" offering adoreable gifts and cards. I personally could browse the store for hours just picking up unique and clever items. Most items are reasonably priced with a few more expensive items. A great stop for any book-lover, but because it's so small don't expect a huge variety of books. It's more about the atmosphere!
Candy from Gardners in Indiana Mall is always fresh and great quality. Employees are very friendly and willing to help find particular candies and serve customers at the fudge counter. Samples are available to taste the fudge - which is some of the best in the area! The only downside to this shop is it's small size which prohibits them from carrying a huge variety. Great place to shop for holiday candy as they feature special "giftables."
My brother attended Wilson Christian Academy for three years and his experience was very positive. The school is K-12 and has a reputation for strong Christian education. The basis is non-denomination with a general evangelical docturine. Teachers are great and classes small. Outside activities include choirs and football (with Duquesne HS) just like any other school. Also very willing to work with those needing learning adaptations. Great school in the area!
I visited Dr. Lazzaro a few years in order to have a birthmark removed. Although I was very young (about 15) at the time and the mark was in a "personal" place, Dr. Lazzaro made me feel very comfortable and at ease with having surgery. The office is remarkable - with horses roaming in the fenced in pasture outside. The building looked like a five star hotel - and I was made to feel like it's most honored guest. The staff was simply wonderful and made my surgery a positive experience. As for the actual work done - I am so impressed. I'd been anxious about scarring and pain, and the scar is practically invisible. There was no infection, or any complication. My experience with Dr. Lazzaro was better than I could have ever expected!
The Electric Beach is one of my favorite places in Indiana PA. Prices are always reasonable with promotion packages at non-peak seasons. Staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions about tanning, appointments, lotions, or the beds. They carry a number of lotions by the bottle or individual "per-use" package and are educated about all products. About 7 personal rooms/beds are available and each is immaculately clean and themed with it's own "beach" scheme. One room has dolphins, another exotic fish, etc. Beds usually have very new bulbs and are updated regularly. A great place to tan!
The tech.s at Magic Nails are very friendly (even if understanding their accent is difficult at times). Quality of work is wonderful, and the employees are honest in explaining services to you and don't force you to purchase things you're not really interested in. At one point I actually had two people working on me at once! I felt so special with all the attention. This was the first time I had my nails done and they never fell off! GREAT place to visit!
I started my college career at this small branch campus and never had any regrets even after transfering to a larger state school. UPG offers quality education, great student housing, and a close community for its residents which can't be accomplished at larger universities. Small class sizes encouraged involvement with professors, and fun activities were always available through the Academic Village events. Food is "eh" but the friendships made by attending such a small campus surely make up for it. A GREAT option for anyone starting their college career. One piece of advice - live on campus - commuters often feel "left out."
Kennywood park is a local legand and one of the best small parks in the country. Although it doesn't boast numerous locations or provide amazing thrills such as Six Flags or other big name parks, Kennywood provides a little something for everyone. The food is delicious and the landscaping beautiful. Rides are offered for small children in Kiddy Land, and adults can enjoy a few thrilling roller coasters. I do feel this park lacks a few things though - like a farris wheel, and some sort of ride that scares the pants out of children. Tickets can be pricey, but Kennywood offers its own unique magic.
